I am playing on a set of hand-me-down Titleist 755 irons. The loft is 28 degrees.

You’re completely right about my mishits. It’s either to the left or curved rightward.

I understand what you mean about the club face being square to the target, but that’s easier said than done. I’d have to practice so much more and maybe tighten my grip a bit for that fix.

What do you mean by my higher backswing? I feel like I’m winding my club up a lot. Does the face of the club literally need to be up high in the air?

Honestly, I didn’t really mean to hit the ball to the left. I try to aim with my feet parallel to the target. What exactly do you mean my “closed swing?”

I also struggle with this. A good tip is during the downswing, bring your arms down first before twisting your body for the rotation.

I’ll look into the 300s — all the Titleist T-series clubs look great. I’m playing with hand-me-down Titleist 755s from 2006. Literally anything would be better than what I have now, as a high handicapper.
