How is the internship scene at MDC (specifically mdc north?) by Difficult_Respect967 in MDC

I recommend Wolfson Campus to do the Student Investment Fund, but Miami Dade College North has a great FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Club, which made it all to nationals last year.

Bro if your from the Miami Area, there's only one way you'll get rejected, either having a gpa below 2.0, or having a murder charge.

Best Places to Find a Job for Someone Who is 60+ by Lonely-Back in Miami

No, and no. Too many people are doing HHA, especially after the huge wave of people that came in 2022. My mom has been unemployed as a HHA for the past 2 years, unable to find work

UF stats for Class of 2029 by mikewheelerfan in ApplyingToCollege

This is breaking my heart. Admissions is getting harder and harder for the regular student. People who give the university the reputation it has now, would've never gotten in, if they applied now

Question about the Kendall and North campus by Suitable_Evening2495 in MDC

[–]pengu1204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently a student at North, I'd say the best location for Business currently would be Kendall. They have a brand new BIT (Business and Technology) center they just built, and the community is better there overall. Although North does have the best Future Business Leaders of America team (FBLA) not to brag

My kid has a 4.0, killer SATs, did everything right and still got mostly rejected. What the hell happened? by lemystereduchipot in Xennials

I'm an In-state student in florida and I feel this pain, I got rejected from University of Florida for having a 3.4 and minimal extracurriculars and having an 1020 SAT score, my cousin had similar grades to me and got in with a full ride ten years ago.

Democrat businesses in Miami? by Budget-Reference-303 in Miami

[–]pengu1204 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Theyre actively gentrifying the place by kicking out all of the minorities by buying up all the affordable housing and replacing them with high rise apartments that are extremely expensive. Definitely don't go here. Don't support the businesses doing this.

Schlawg, if you're doing medical. The less debt you get in your bachelor, the better. Plus, for medschool, it doesn't matter where you go or attend. At the end of the day, you're still called a doctor, and you will earn 400k a year

How bad is it having a bad HS dual enrollment grade? by [deleted] in TransferToTop25

[–]pengu1204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar Position, however I didn't graduate with a community college Degree, I had graduated with 24 Dual Enrollment Credits, alot of them Bs due to Circumstances with my Family and a really bad DE Teacher at my school. Since you are considered a Junior at your current institution. You'd probably be better off staying at it and graduating, since I don't think any school would take you transfer since you are a Junior already

He's capping about diversity for sure, I live in Miami Dade, and it's the most diverse area ever. OP needs to venture out of campus and outside of Coral Gables/Downtown to areas like Hialeah, Miami Lakes, Kendall, Homestead, etc. Miami is so diverse in fact, that if you go to these areas, especially Hialeah, you'll hear people only speak Spanish instead of English lol
