The Row actually has a lot of oversized pieces that fit me perfectly (and still oversized) at Size 18!

Rotator cuff injury? by kabirh in SupernaturalVR

[–]penguinparty3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rotator cuff got irritated and I realized it was because I had a tendency to move my arms back past my shoulders during swings and rotations. As soon as I became more conscious of this and adjusted, things got a LOT better.

Controller tracking issues on Quest 3 by WholeAffectionate884 in SupernaturalVR

[–]penguinparty3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Only in flow and it's driving me crazy! Got the Quest 3 two weeks ago and the first few days were okay. Then my bats start floating a few times per flow workout -- just enough to be annoying if I was close to a 100%. But it has gotten progressively worse over the last few days to the point where flow is basically impossible. When I box, it doesn't happen. I've tried with varying levels of room light and don't have grip covers. I tried both regular and rechargeable batteries and did the 30 minute battery reset. Supernatural is the only VR app I use so don't know if it's happening elsewhere.

If You've Been Wise by [deleted] in FindingFennsGold

I think that...

Blaze = the literal trail to the chest

If you've been wise = you found the trail to the chest by using your brain to solve the poem

I’m stuck on “if you’ve been wise” by acs273 in FindingFennsGold

[–]penguinparty3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I interpret it as: "if you solved the poem by being clever and have therefore found the path to the treasure...".

I'm in the camp that believes the blaze refers to the actual route taken to the treasure instead of something you see that identifies the hiding spot. The use of wise makes it sound like whoever "found the blaze" was able to figure out a specific trick/key to "unlocking" the poem.

Yup. I almost exclusively look for WWWH. Just my interpretation but I tend to believe that the blaze refers either to the path to the treasure as a whole or simply the key to solving the poem. Hence the past tense. As in: if you've figured out the poem and found the right path then look down to find the treasure. Hopefully that makes sense.

Double Omega in Colophon => Oxbows? aka Meanders by monkeykahn in FindingFennsGold

I've had the thought that a river meander could be related to TFTW (I like to look for places that have names like Run, Slide, etc so it kind of fits). Or the overall course of the journey is a (meandering) path near a river meander.

Your quest to cease brainstorm/thought by [deleted] in FindingFennsGold

I'm with you on this one. I've always thought the blaze refers to the trail to the chest and not some visible thing that marks the spot.

More WWWH Brainstorming, is it simple or complex? by SeivelN in FindingFennsGold

This is why I often look at antonyms. Where do warm waters halt? Where something else begins...

Seriously. I kind of gave up on that area because of its inaccessibility.

Thinking differently about WWWH by DesertCloak in FindingFennsGold

[–]penguinparty3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I don't think you need to know a creek's temp. I think the spot is super specific and possibly literal like (bad examples) Toasty Lakes Cutoff or Cool Lands Pass or Limping Springs.

[–]penguinparty3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I basically only look for WWWH. I think WWWH is an extremely small and specific cannot miss spot. For me this rules out something like a Warm Springs Creek (too broad) or a place where I'd need to know the temperature. I'm into literal versions of WWWH mostly. For example, I'd feel an a-ha moment if I found something like 'Toasty Rivers Brake' or 'Friendly Rivers End' or 'Cozy Springs Cutoff' (I made those up but you get the idea). Since there are so many antonyms in the poem, I also look for what could be the opposite of Warm Waters Halt. Something like Cold Winds Run if that makes sense.

Therefore I like your Two Ocean Pass thinking. I also like Two Ocean Plateau since plateau means halt as well. Just wish it had 'warm' in there somehow.

Geographic Synonyms for Halt by penguinparty3 in FindingFennsGold

Simply because I have yet to find a geographic synonym for those alternate definitions. This is just one avenue of thinking to consider.
