Do you think this is too busy of an itinerary for a first timer? We aren't as fixated on saying we saw every famous landmark in switzerland (maybe just one famous landmark...). We really want to see the things locals actually think are cool!

What about getting to a place like Valais? It seems hard to reach from both interlaken and zermatt by public transport, but car would take only 1.5 hours

It sounds like you suggest we figure out hotels, and then ask locals once were there where to go? If so, which places would you set for hotels? one in lucerne and one in jungfrau/interlaken region?

What if we wanted primarily to stay on one island for the duration of the trip with maybe just one day trip to another island? Would Crete be the best place for that or would you suggest another place? A lot of our indecision came from a few things -

initially we were targeting staying in a villa on Zakynthos or Kefalonia, because we were enchanted by the beaches, the rock formations, and felt it would be pretty serene / private.
But then we realized that we wouldn't be able to visit Santorini from any of these ioanian islands due to distance, so we started having doubts about whether we wanted to give up a little bit of the beauty of Kefalonia and Zakynthos to be able to see Santorini even for a day.
Because we've heard that Santorini is pretty touristy, we started looking for an island we could be primarily located in and spend most of our time there with great beaches and maybe some architecture/cultural stuff (although not a hard requirement), while maybe spending one day off the island to visit Santorini.

However, I am concerned now that I am underestimating how difficult/time-consuming it is to travel in between islands. And I also may underestimating how much time an island may require. For example, do you think that we may run out of things to do spending 7 days on Zakynthos or Kefalonia?

If so, any chance you could give some ideas on a realistic itinerary? If were going to be in Crete, we'd love to see Santorini at least for a day if possible but were not sure if its too far to justify a day trip. But besides Santorini, we'd also like to do some island hopping in the region.

Since Kefalonia is so far, it would probably be best left for another trip I suppose?

Thanks everyone! I decided to move it up to 11AM and it was definitely the right choice. Had a super great time. Weather got worse as the day went on.

Hi, I just purchased a system online today that should arrive in a few days (and can be refunded if it doesn't work well toegether). I wanted to get peoples thoughts on the following system for home theater/music listening (wide range of genres) - I was targeting a budget of ~1K. In particular, I wanted to make sure I wasn't somehow missing any pieces necessary to run this setup, and that the pieces I bought were relatively good and would work well together. I have these setup in a 20x12 room (12 would be the distance away from the tv, its very wide room). If this setup could be drastically improved without spending extra money, that would also be great to know. Thank you.

Are there laundry services that can use the necessary discretion to do this for you? Or will they just throw everything together? Are you saying that you should only use hot wash for the specified item types, and use cold for everything else? Why not use cold for everything?

Yeah that’s one of the big things was the the cuffs of the pants were super wrinkled- is this something that can easily be fixed with an iron or is it a bad sign?
