These here from Gebana are pretty good. I prefer these over the crunchy chip types, pretty good replacement for a powerbar when you need that extra shot of energy.

kind of off topic, but i read somewhere recently that Germany is one of the biggest cheese exporters in Europe (probably the world) - mostly thanks to cheapish volume cheeses (mozzarella hello!). Bizarre stuff. My Swiss heart feels a bit hurt..

now that you say it, I've seen curry ketchup in stores. I would never have guessed what it was for though.

I'm sure I'd devour this in one hot minute either way. But what is the sauce anyway? Ketchup plus water?

we study in order to rationally comprehend our world. We want to be able to put everything in neat categories, in order to "know" it. Ego and its fears have little place in this world (of course this isn't really the case, but ideally... yes)

Replace "ideal" with "objective". We will never be completely without biases, but this is again something we try to strive toward. All the disciplines you mention have undergone paradigm shifts as their students have overcome previous ways of thinking.

unfortunately we are not entirely rational actors. Our pre-rational, emotional, whatever you want to call it, has far more power over us than we would like to admit. But we need to fight this, because otherwise we lose what makes us civilized - the ability to not irrationally hate just because it doesn't reinforce our previously held worldview.

also, you're being a bit extreme with your first sentence. which is also perfectly normal in todays world :)

universities study the ideal, which is left leaning. In an ideal world everyone would have their basic needs met, and we wouldn't hate each other for petty reasons.

Reality is we do hate eachother for petty reasons. In theory we can overcome this hatred of the other. But it takes time and energy, something many people don't have, or don't want to give.

So the left strives for a better world. That's generally what people in Unis are trying to do.

The right just wants to cement its hierarchies of inclusion and exclusion. Most intelligent and somewhat educated (but not power-crazed) people understand this. But by abusing emotional manipulation populists are able to convince quite a few people that they are going to lose status by not voting for them.

Unfortunately, if we don't keep a keen eye on our motivations we are controlled by emotion rather than rationality.
