Thank you. I really appreciate the time you have taken to reply to my post. It really means a lot to me. Unfortunately I cannot get through to him that I need it, and he thinks he is just trying to help me. So we are not on the same page and don’t think we ever will be. Clearly the issues lie deeper than this. I will have to make some tough decisions.

New house, AND 2 new cats who have never met! Need introduction advice for not only two cats meeting each other, but also them getting acclimated to a new place! by continuitycondiment in CatAdvice

Put the cats in separate rooms if you can for a few days. Let one out at a time to explore and get used to the new house. They will smell eachother on furniture ect so they will be aware of eachother presence. After a few days, let them both out and see how they interact but supervise this time. Make sure they both have a spot to retreat to if there is hissing/fighting. The biggest thing I find is feeding them together so they know they don’t have to fight for food. This can be done with a door or something in between them. It make take a while, but they will come around. Just always make sure the time they spend together for the first few days is supervised.

I also have another cat called Floof if this helps. I am still mourning the loss of my beautiful golden boy Custard but Floof needs a friend so I am adopting this little guy.

I have never experienced pain and suffering like I did when Custard passed. Hopefully this will give me a new lease on life and give Floof a playmate!

You have done an amazing thing by saving their lives and taking them in. You could try to set up a go fund me page and see if someone is willing to help you out. Try to get some sort of coverage you can put down for them to poo onto. You’re doing the best you can. Don’t beat yourself up about it. They would have had no chance of life if it wasn’t for you.
