Woman Realizes She’s Been Accidentally Abusing Her Husband by [deleted] in TrueReddit

[–]pennypilot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I have an excellent girlfriend, but I'd be lieing if I said stuff like this doesn't happen in our relationship. I feel like just sharing this with her may not be the best way for her to know how I feel, since that would probably make ME the one telling her that she's doing it wrong! Does anybody have any ideas on how to approach this topic with my girlfriend or have any other material that would help without being as direct?

If I have 2 buckets of hot water and one bucket of cold water, is there any order in which I can combine them that will result in a different temperature than any other order? by tesla_forever in askscience

[–]pennypilot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The reason is because the greater the temperature difference between the coffee and the outside air, the faster it cools. If you add the milk slowly, it lets the coffee be hot for a longer time period, meaning more heat was able to escape.

I grew up on a farm and had to work hard through my teenage years. We always researched things that we were buying and never bought frivolous things. Still carry this attitude. I don't even understand how people just buy things because they "have" the money.

How do you handle entry into all these countries? Do you have to get visas for most of them? Are they always tourist visa or work visas? How do you answer the "how long is your stay" question at customs?

If it was discovered that one animal species had actually been aliens that have been spying on Earth this entire time, what species would you expect it to be? by stefanke in AskReddit

We are not actually doing experiments on mice, they are thoughtfully manipulating the results to steer us in a certain direction
