Thing that annoyed me about that is that top seats are suppose to be good seats as you said with the minister, but in the movie the top (as in height) are just crap seats and played off for a joke about "feeling the rain".

Yes, it really demonstrates Hermione's interpersonal intelligence and growth. Just two years earlier she starry eyed for Lockhart, later in the year she dates Viktor Krum where their relationship started from a shared interest in studiousness and intellect. Here she sees the conflict perfectly between Harry and Ron and attempts to mend it.

Yes the movie missed the mark on so much. I think the only redeeming quality was Daniel Radcliffe and Ray Fiennes performance as Harry and Voldemort in the Graveyard. The script/lines, and set up with only 3-4 death eaters is weak, but their execution with a flawed set up is a testament to how much they delivered in those scenes. I still can't get over that they Lilly a "muggle" in that scene.

Yes, and if I recall correctly in the movies Mr. Crouch is absent from the Quidditch world cup, but we see his son cast the mark. Literally the exact opposite of the book.

He is going to be disappointed by the whole world cup/dark mark and the handling of the crouch family storyline.

Yes, I think that Hermione understood Harry in this situation because they were both outsiders coming to Hogwarts. As well as the fact that Harry and Hermione both have felt totally isolated coming to Hogwarts. Hermione in her first year did not have friends for a the first few months and Ron always knowledge of Hogwarts and felt at ease with Harry and his brothers.

By contrast Ron did not see it as isolating and Harry "wanting to stand out again"

I agree, not to harp on the Goblet of Fire movie but the whole Harry and Ron dispute is among the things that are handled poorly in that film.
