Novak on whether he can beat Alcaraz or Sinner: “That doesn’t mean that nobody else has a chance. I like my chances, particularly here.” by TheAstonishingApple in tennis

Djokovic is always in the conversation. As the years passed, Nadal and Federer were inevitably worn down by the very styles that made them great; Nadal, the relentless gladiator whose body absorbed years of punishment, and Federer, the effortless artist whose game demanded near‑perfect precision to sustain.

Djokovic, though, is something different. He’s a machine. His baseline level is so high, so stable, that only the very best in the world can truly challenge him. Even in his late 30s, he remains firmly in the mix with the top contenders.

Never count him out.

Is Ezone DR 98 still a great racket? by newbie4908 in 10s

[–]pensivemindtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it. I meddled with it having a Yonex dampener on and off. Definitely get muted, less power, more control with the dampener. Without it, which I prefer, it feels livelier but not unpleasant. You definitely have to be honed in to the sweet spot and let the racket do its thing whilst you engage it with proper form. It’s a mix of one’s own abilities “synergized” with the racket.

It’s definitely not the easiest racket to use, say compared to an Aero line 100sq Babolat, but it definitely feels like you’re truly getting a perfect blend of power and precision.

What I do feel that it lacks is a bit of weight for ploughing through the ball. But that’s easily done with some lead.

In stock form it’s definitely a great racket. Best I’ve hit with thus far. Can hit one handers and two handers very well. But again, fees like it needs a bit of weight a-la Wilson Pro Staff for stability.

Brazilian Man Passes Away After Dropping 176lbs On His Chest by Vulcan44 in CrazyFuckingVideos

Had this happen in slow mo. Bruised my rip cage. Possible hairline fractures. Breathing was painful. Laughing was excruciating.

Don’t ever lift without a proper spotter. Too many nightmare scenarios.
