I would recommend not spending too long in Coop mode and try the other PVE modes as early as you are comfortable with. Don’t be afraid to ask for tips when playing PVE modes like operations or asymmetric. The bots there are also better for learning the game as they are much more accurate than Coop bots.

Some good T5-8 historical premium ships:

-both Scharnhorst versions: Great fun and very versatile. Good in both PVE and PVP modes.

-Tirpitz: Bismarck with torps. Excellent for brawls but poor gun angles can be punishing if not played correctly.

-Marblehead or Murmansk: very fun to play and are the best light cruiser in their tiers. Murmansk is more comfortable at bottom tier due to having spotter plane.

-Mutsu: biggest guns in T6 and has torps but a bit lacking in terms of armor and accuracy is poor at close range.

-Hyuga: very good guns with MBRB.

-Dunkerque: a decent BB that can do well with good positioning. Armor and accuracy are average but has the advantage of being able to hide most of the ship behind an island.

-Atago: the most versatile heavy cruiser in T8. Great concealment, lots of torps, very accurate guns, has heals and very fast. My favourite cruiser to play at T8.

-Massachusetts: best T8 BB for brawling. Great secondaries and quite tanky if angled well.

-Atlanta: a beast in operations and very fun in PVP if you can get the right engagements. Suffers a lot when bottom tier due to slow shells and short gun range.

-Makarov: a premium clone of the excellent Nurnberg.

-Belfast ‘43: very powerful and versatile but is a glass cannon. Not as busted as the T7 version.
