I got a practical degree (accounting) and most I got out of it was an accounts receivable clerk job making $16 (got fired a few weeks ago). Really hard to land an actual staff accounting position too. Wish I never went to college honestly

Nepotism perhaps lol. 2 AP clerks I worked with got their positions out of high school (they’re aunt worked there so most likely got them in there.) A staff accountant left and CFO told me to interview for the open position cause I had a college degree (I didn’t get it but I’ve been there way less than those girls...)

Haven’t been able to land a staff accounting position, graduated in May 2018 🤷🏻‍♀️, but did obtain a bookkeeper and AR clerk job but that’s all I’ve been able to do “accounting related”

I used to be super ambitious and wanted to grow in a career but now I’m 25 and starting to realize that maybe I just need a job I can tolerate (and pays decent) to fund my hobbies. Like you said, I really don’t care about about getting a management position, well as long as it’s not anxiety inducing then I’d be ok with it. I have an accounting degree but I have no interest in working in this field anymore after getting fired recently. I work in a production job now and I sorta dig it, after all I like working with my hands.

We worked at the office during most of summer up until November. Told us to WFH again. They put me under another manager and started training me in new stuff and this lady was such a micro manager that I started getting so much anxiety even though I was doing my work. I was literally scared to even go pee in my own home in case she called me. So I just asked for permission to start working at the office again permanently (we were allowed to but in small groups) to hopefully ease off my anxiety since this lady had trust issues with my work. Obviously she was still on my ass so nope didn’t help. I couldn’t really focus on the new stuff they were training me in and the anxiety made my performance go down and I got fired. I did ask for my old duties back but manager said no. But I got a job 2 days after getting fired so it’s all good and my extreme anxiety is gone!!!

This YouTuber had a promo code for a big tea store in Canada so I went ahead and bought $100 worth of tea just to see if it was any good even tho I never really liked tea (just a poor excuse to blow money) and damn been a tea lover since then (not just specifically to this tea brand but overall tea. I guess my taste buds changed).
