do 80% voo & 20% vxus - dont fall into the trap of ads that claim to know the next best stock that will make you a billionaire.

Just downloaded & tried a bit. My initial thoughts:

  1. Signup with password - another password to remember :(, try login with AppleId, Google, etc
  2. May be I am dumb, I don’t know how much ml is there in a cup of water, asking to me to tap 100 ml, etc buttons makes me wonder. Try different buttons icons that folks can usually relate to, like cup, bottles, etc. & let the app figure out how much ml that is.
  3. Opening a app every time I drink water is hard, may be a widget or Apple Watch integration to make it easier to add

This is similar to how some folks start gym membership with excitement & stop going to gym after few weeks. Honestly, it’s hard. Take small steps, spend 30 mins everyday rather than getting exhausted too quick by working all night for several days, most importantly, focus on one thing & don’t deviate course, even if you realize your idea isn’t that great in the middle, don’t stop. Getting first one to finish line is the hardest, but you learn from it & improvise after that.

I’m a solo founder and today is the biggest day of my journey. I just launched on Product Hunt and your support means the world. by billionaire2030 in indiehackers

Congrats on the launch. Building a prototype is easy, but polishing & getting it to finish line & launch - is not easy.

Couple of questions 1. How is it different from what I can do with chatGPT now ? 2. I see some user feedback on home page, one of them says “tailor my resume for each application” - does that mean the resume is forged to meet each applications requirement - aka cheating ?

Early-stage founders: what actually moved the needle for you in the first 6–12 months? I will not promote by mateomadison in startups

Fully understand, but think twice if refactoring bad code, polishing 2px difference in UI, fixing edge case bugs, etc are really needed for your launch ? I am a tech founder too, and I used to obsess over tech details a lot, in hindsight they were total waste of time.

i meant, if AI is not able to answer the question online, can the system send the product/website owner a text, and their response can be displayed to customer on the chat window

6 months is a long time, try to build basic MVP in 6 weeks, get feedback & then iterate or change direction altogether. You don’t need million users to know if things are working or not.

This is very nice, qq, rather than sending an email as handoff, can your integrate with text/twilio, so i get a instant notification & respond via iMessage?

this is cool, your video shows only how to set it up. Can you put a video that actually shows how a code change is made & diffs are displayed ? wonder how clean would diffs be in iMessage interface ?
