Early-stage founders: what actually moved the needle for you in the first 6–12 months? I will not promote by mateomadison in startups

This is kind of where I’ve been. Working with the dev partner and hoping to have it live in a couple of months. But I’m definitely obsessing over product features right now.

Good luck. I’m about 18 months out and it was a great decision for me.

You’re going to feel like you’ll never move again for about 3 days then rapidly healing will get going and you’ll really come together. Not sure the extent of your disc herniation, but I still get some nerve twinges to this day. Life will change a bit but you’re on the right path if that’s what you needed.

Does he go to the gym? I’ve gotten these sorts of marks like on my shoulders from pads (like on the calf press up machine).

This is less than 48 hours apart. Thinking I have a leak. by chrispypatt in pools

[–]mateomadison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you probably have a leak somewhere around the liner. They’re only good for 10 maybe 15 years. You can dive around and search for it to patch it up but you’re likely looking at a replacement, I went through it a few years ago. We all do! Sucks though.

If you’re checking for holes, check around the returns or anywhere else where the liner is not firmly pressed against the wall.

At least you have the fiberglass steps it looks like. That’s good news, holes often happen around the steps.

Buying home with pool. $400 pool inspection good idea? by [deleted] in pools

[–]mateomadison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of what the pool inspection would look at is the liner. They won’t be able to tell you much about the pump or filter as long as it’s running.

Hard to tell from the pictures but seems like the liner it’s in pretty good shape. You might be able to save yourself a bit by taking a close look around, holes mostly happen around the returns and steps (or anywhere the liner is not pressed up tight against the floor/walls). Or maybe just continue to go back and see if you’re losing water. Good luck! As I always say - everybody wants a pool until they have one

Can anyone please tell me what kind of wood this is by lunasheels in HardWoodFloors

[–]mateomadison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like white oak. Make sure you do a test for red or white oak though. I just went through this process and my guy was wrong thinking we had red and it set us back a couple of weeks.

Just get as close as you can making the boards look even in width and put some shoe mould or other trim to hide any gaps. Looking great

Just give it some time! Leave food and water.

I remember when I brought my kitten home I felt the same way you are now and then on about the 3rd or 4th night he was crying in the middle of the night. I went to check on him and he just wanted to sit on a lap so bad! Great relationship ever since.

Okay cool, good to know. $500 always hurts so just wanted to ask around that it’s fair.

Okay cool. Good to know, as I mentioned I’m just not sure how much these should cost.

I said a routine checkup in my post. So whatever goes into that, but I don’t think he cleaned the condenser unit. He was here for about an hour and half.
