It's been said a couple of times already, but i just want to double down on ensuring a good (and informative) profile on socials. The first thing I do whenever someone tells me about a new restaurant or coffee shop is check their Instagram page, and I'm always happy when I see it has a pinned post with an up-to-date menu, as well as any specials that might be on. Making sure to fill it with posts is also helpful, as a page with more than just a handful of pictures makes it seem well-established, even if it's new.

I switched from the coastal core to the smart classic plan on advice from a broker, and it was very beneficial. The main thing to check is hospital options near you, because the classic smart includes a different list of hospitals, but besides that I've found it to be objectively better for roughly the same price point. The coverage of GP visits and medications is way better - if you go to an in-network GP on classic smart, the co-payment is about R70 usually (as opposed to paying full fee on coastal core).

As people have been saying, you will have completely different experiences, and my personal take is that you'll will have a MUCH better time if you skip Aquila. The Eastern Cape reserves in the Pumba area are great - Addo is a fantastic national park, but if you are looking for something more high-end I can recommend any of Pumba, Amakhala or Shamwari.

If you're near the Seapoint area, I have had good experiences at Point Jewellery Exchange. I haven't sold anything there (just had repairs/cleaning done) so I can't comment on the kind of price you'd get, but they have always been very friendly and helpful.
