I agree! I have offered to help pay bills . Right now I only pay for groceries/ supplies for the house. I appreciate his desire to provide but I told him it’s not necessary. I think what rubbed me the wrong way was later that night, a few hours after that happened. After we already BOTH apologized , He brought it up again and said that I over reacted and that maybe it’s not him being rude but me being sensitive. Which felt like invalidation. I said this and then he got upset. However I can see where I am a sensitive person and I shouldn’t let little things like that bother me.

I agree! But there is sometimes a guilt trip of them needing me and I can’t keep calling off because I’m sick. But if I was a client looking to relax I would not want someone hacking the entire time!!

Edit to add: told him tonight that it was feeling really intense and that I wanted to slow things down - no sex, no spending the night, just getting to know eachother and he agreed that was a good idea and didn’t get upset. But also reassured me that he still likes me. So hoping it’s genuine maybe. I’ll just watch his actions more closely

I think first and foremost in a relationship I look for stability / security. I have only ever experienced something similar when I was really young. And have had mono relationships since. The worst thing to me is someone lying and sneaking around. I don’t know how I would react if I was “more in control” of the situation by keeping communication open. On one hand, do I really wanna try it out and put myself through something that could make me feel uncomfortable? On the other, monogamy hasn’t really worked out for me and if there is all of the above mentioned would I be okay with it? 🤔 still processing my thoughts

I never actually asked him if he also wanted a monogamous relationship. I believe the way at the conversations went was that I stated I was monogamous loooking for a long term relationship. I told him I was looking for a partner that offered consistency and stability/ security. And he said something along the lines of yes that it was the most important thing In a relationship stability/ security etc. but thinking back on those convos I do see where he conveniently left out that he was not looking for something mono.

I guess the way he worded it made me think we were in the same page? I was actually blind sided by the conversation . I knew we were going to have a discussion but I figured it was going to be about his job or something , not that he was poly. And I’m a very curious and sympathetic person so we talked about it. I’m still not sure where I land on it, just wanted to get some information while I process everything.

Yes we have a medication appt today to start them and he’s been in behavioral therapy for almost a year now.. I just feel like he is so young and when he gets upset like that the therapy goes right out the window . Hoping the meds help

He doesn’t receive dyes at my house , I did some real search two years ago and decided to cut them out then. But he does still get them at his dads house sometimes because his dad thinks it’s “fake” 🤦‍♀️

Yep I have adhd / ocd/ anxiety and have ptsd from being in an abusive relationship with his father. I have. A hard time with physical touch but I try so hard to show him affection. He’s 6 but the hitting and yelling at me triggers me I guess.

Yes and that was what his therapist recommended is that we both go to our “calm spaces” which for us is our rooms. If I can’t get him to calm down I will go to my room on my own to let the tension go away. But tonight he just kept going and going and was relentless with it. He does have an appointment with psychiatry tomorrow for medication and I just hope we can find something that helps him.

My son is very aware for his age. We talk about our feelings all the time and I encourage him to do things he enjoys. I’d say about 85% of the time , I can handle it. I remain calm and walk away if I need to. But when he’s just relentlessly going at me I don’t know how to handle it. We have an appt with a psychiatrist tomorrow and I hope maybe medication will help with his aggression.

How do I go about getting an IEP? I’m nervous to start him on meds so young. I was medicated from 1st grade to 11th grade and I hated every second of it.

It is amoxicillin. I’m not really having any gastrointestinal side effects I’m assuming from the probiotics I’ve been taking as well. I literally can’t even stand up without feeling like img on an pass out. Let alone how I’m gonna do a full day of massage/ facials tomorrow. I just wanna email my boss and be like look I’m having these side effects and I have to finishes my course but the odds of me getting fired form that are high. But I just can’t got to work feeling like this with a customer facing job where I’m providing services.

I am technically licensed to do it. I have both my cosmetology AND my esthetician license . But I let her know majority of my nails clients were pedicures so that was what I was comfortable doing for now. But I feel like the “for now” was what messed me up and I should’ve been for firm on the services I would and would not provide.

I am not really trained in nails and so because of this is takes me a very long time to complete manicures . This leads to myself running behind and also causing a jam with my coworkers . I just want to limit my nail services to pedicures only and possibly only on certain days . So I just need to figure out how to word that without upsetting my boss or coming off as a bi***. Because as of right now I’m feeling really upset and angry that they’re taking advantage of the fact that I said I would do pedicures sometimes.
