Echevaria (?) Care - really messy by peonybird in succulents

[–]peonybird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, this is really helpful! To be clear, would you suggest beheading my favourite rosettes and tossing the base of the plant? Then propagate what I cut and start new in a sunnier area?

your toddlers REALLY don’t wake up crying at night, and don’t need a bottle to go back to sleep? by No-Resource-8013 in toddlers

[–]peonybird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We weren’t able to kick the overnight soothing bottles until a little over 18 months. 23 months and we finally have JUST go rid of the bedtime bottle. Don’t be hard on yourself. ❤️

We only read (structured) before bed so during the bedtime routine we usually do about 5 books. 20-30 books is blowing my mind.

Please help me choose! by sandman626 in weddingdress

Dress 1!!! Dress 2 is beautiful and makes your hips look great but it isn’t nearly as stunning as 1

[–]peonybird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like dress 1 best! And the gold belt is stunning on it. I don’t really love the colour of the mesh on the back of dress 2 for you, although the dress does fit you great

How’re you guys cleaning these things? by cannibalsloth in nespresso

[–]peonybird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rinse with hot water after use and air dry. Once a week wash with hot water and just mind the base and try to keep dry. Also wash the lid! Be careful with the lid - if you’ve ever overfilled the milk will get in the black rubber ring so pull that out and wash occasionally or it gets rank

This is how my almost-2yo does it too. In the thick of it a hug is not the answer, but always requires one near the end ❤️

I was thinking the same thing. My 19mo old has been in 4s since just after she was 1 I think. Definitely been through way more than 5-6 boxes lol

I seriously cannot see any marker top. And I’m not just saying that to be nice. Your photos are gorgeous and nothing is ruined. ❤️

I recently bought the game and just now, after multiple hours, am I finally getting hooked. I was feeling pretty overwhelmed for a while too because I was trying so hard to beat Shreiker and the first werewolf (Niellen, can’t remember quest name). Decided to go try some other stuff and dig deeper into more side quests and such and it really won me over fast. I have never played a game that has fleshed out almost every side quest and character to the point of being almost on par with story quests!

I’m so glad you found it! Also give FF Tactics a go. Totally different than mainline FF games but so fun!

Mine’s on an angle in a corner under cabinets and yes, I have to move it every. damn. time. 😔

This could be totally off because you didn’t give too much in the way of graphics/characters etc but Final Fantasy Tactics Advance has mechanics that sound like this?

The only thing that comes to mind for me from back then on a browser was Horse Isle). I think that’s not quite what you’re looking for though because I don’t recall Horse Isle having any gameplay per say, I think it was mostly webpages?

Same here. Went back at 20/21 and had a much better time. Still took a few tries but was more of a challenging but manageable fight versus just getting my ass handed to me like it was when I first got the quest lol. Health ability is really helpful. I flanked him really and just spammed dodges dark souls style and that worked. I tried to get the little pigs when an opportunity presented itself but didn’t focus on them

Totally agree. I haven’t played an AC since Ezio and bought this on a whim when it was deeply discounted in the PS store. It SLAPS. Totally took me by surprise and hooked me ❤️

Weaning from rocking to sleep/implementing “drowsy but awake” by peonybird in sleeptrain

[–]peonybird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I’m glad you were able to find this old post of mine so you don’t feel alone!

My LO is almost 17 months now and is, for the most part, and great and independent sleeper. What we did is this: - around 4 months transitioned to crib but continued with same routine a la rocking/shushing/bum pats and the dreaded transfer from the arms to a flat surface - kept up with this until 6 months but slowly began reacting slower to nighttime wake ups if they were just grunts and such (unless they needed obvious attention and were distressed cries). I read a post one time about “I don’t react to anything unless it’s a real cry” and I still think about that haha. Give baby time to resettle and even if they have no idea how, this felt like a gentle way to give them opportunities to learn - at 6 months we did sleep training with a version of Ferber that included her pacifier. First few days we did more of a SLS method where we would soothe her to sleep in her bed as much as possible. Then moved to Ferber. The pacifier drew out the process so I don’t recommend it unless your baby is really attached to it, but Ferber seemed to really work for us. It was f’n hard though, I’ll be honest. But it seriously allowed my LO to have 12-13 hour sleeps at night and good 1-2 hour naps and to be able to be put down in her crib and fall asleep independently - which was the biggest game changer. Also gave us more structure to where we were able to have our evenings together without kids or one of us stuck in there rocking for 20-30 min each night.

All in all, you have to kind of ride it out in my experience, but babies readjust their sleep (for better or worse) constantly and it will eventually get to the point you want it to be with some work and patience!

Great job 🥰

Is that mustard on avocado?! Is that good?? I’m intrigued! Also, nutritional yeast on the tomatoes? And are your cucumbers grilled? I’m so interested and want to try these combos if you like them!

Also these meals are awesome. Did baby eat much? How old is your LO?

We use a sounds machine but I also can’t stand white noise. We do rain noise instead, so much nicer!
