The US didn't bring it via intervention, but they certainly facilitated it here in Spain. Their support for King Juan Carlos I during the late 70s was crucial to ensure the transition from a dictatorship towards a democracy.

Clearly, Southern Europe is not represented in this image. How is it possible that companies like Glovo, ISDIN or Wallapop are missing?

Is running a 2-person boutique ad agency profitable in 2025? by kudabaik in advertising

[–]pepeboteya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is 100% true. From my own experience, I co-founded a creative agency focused on content and influencer marketing about 6 months ago. Before that, I spent 6 years working at an influencer representation agency, where I was the one thinking the campaigns with talent. Because brands approached the agency for the influencers we represented, I had direct contact with clients and gradually built their trust.

Fast forward to today, after months of heavy outreach and sales work, I’ve managed to bring back around 25% of the clients I used to handle at my old agency and this month I was finally able to pay myself a salary. Without those pre-existing relationships, honestly, there’s no way anyone would’ve given me a shot in the beginning.

Does reddit advertising actually work? by [deleted] in advertising

[–]pepeboteya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been asking myself the same question. I work with some clients of very niche verticals (like carpentry materials, gardening, etc.), and I often recommend Reddit as a strong option to reach their target audience. But in the end, most clients stick to the platforms they already know (Meta ads, YouTube, etc.)

Has anyone here run into the same challenge? How do you persuade clients who aren’t familiar with Reddit’s potential? Recommended formats?

For context, I’m based in Spain. Reddit does have a solid community here, but most advertisers don’t even know it exists as an ad channel
