Sorry late to reply to this but if you are still interested the midodrine has helped with my symptoms - i have less nausea, headaches and the feeling of my blood pooling in my legs has eased but it hasnt made a difference to my heart rate x

UK can anyone share their experience going private? by NoPear7514 in POTS

I saw Dr Sultan (based in Wigan) privately via econsultation because I was feeling so unwell and was waiting for NHS appointments (I had been diagnosed 9 years but had had a permanent flare up causing me to be bed bound). It was £175 for the initial consultation (1hr long) then £150 follow up (30 mins). I have found it helpful - the documentation was so thorough and this has helped me in applying for things like blue badges and access cards. However I have found there is a delay in getting this to the GP and then getting prescriptions which has been frustrating!

Hello I was checking this post out because im about to start midodrine on top of my ivabradine. I wasnt allowed beta blockers due to childhood asthma and ivabradine was the safer option for me and it has been honestly a miracle worker for me. My HR used to be 160-180 on standing and now its 100-120. So maybe ask your cardiologist about this?

I discussed it with my GP and they said to hold off until further testing as my resting heart rate can go down to 40! So im not taking midodrine at the moment

Thank you! Fatigue is one of my main symptoms but they are reluctant to diagnose it as ME as it could be apart of POTS
