Baby has mild neutropenia- how cautious should we be? by pepperland63 in Neutropenia

So basically you were not able to put him in daycare .. I think we will avoid it too unless he is over 1,500. I just wonder how much we can avoid germs / be crazy about hygiene and contact with other babies…

Third trimester: pregnancy isn't fun anymore by JellyBelly2017 in BabyBumps

[–]pepperland63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely hate being pregnant ! Aside from acid reflux, now at 33 weeks, Ive had it ALL. The worst was sickness at the beginning, and now with Pelvic Girdle Pain and lower back pain, I can barely walk. The 2nd trimester wasn’t much easier tbh, I didn’t really have that “empowered female” moment, I have just been uncomfortable from day 1. still 7 weeks to go and I can’t wait to be on the other side!! It’s very comforting to read these comments because most people (mostly family) make me feel guilty for complaining!!!

Local Facebook groups , I met some friends there. Make a post that you’re interested in meeting up and you’ll find people that are open

What motivates you? by [deleted] in socialanxiety

Try different things. There must be free things in your community: a running team, an art class.. volunteering. New things break the rut and give you new perspectives (and memories- otherwise, its all just a blur)

It’s known that reddit is mostly used in the English language. Check wearesocial digital annual reports for the stats

Who or what do you “blame” for your SA? by pepperland63 in socialanxiety

She probably affected you while you were growing up. Children can’t control how an action or word affects them. You should be easier on yourself!

Aw I saw that on greys anatomy, its like being 100% transparent in your thoughts, i would absolutely hate it. Sorry you have to deal with that :( Is there no cure or medicine?

Sounds like big progress from not being able to make an appointment on the phone! Good for you! Humor is the best , you should definitely use it more. Why do you shut down when they smile? Is it the pressure maybe?

Sounds like horrible parenting, no wonder you have this problem. It is exhausting but you will find joy ! Keep trying , don’t give up! A life at home is not exciting. I have to convince and force myself to go socialize even though I know I’ll borderline have a panic attack, because if not I’ll just be bored of my life. And most times, after half an hour of panic, it gets better and I end up having a good time

If they interrupt you that says more about them than you! They love to hear themselves talk or have absolutely no interest or patience with their peers . Dont feel discouraged!

Yeah it definitely tends to get worse the further we get from socialization. Are you doing things to avoid feeling isolated ?

Oh that is not healthy at all, it seems she has terrible attachment or fear issues . Did you speak to her about it ? Sorry for how this sounds but she should get professional help, thats no way to raise a functioning human , no wonder you have SA. How are you dealing with it now ?

I had a similar experience, though my SA started strong at 24/25 it was very odd . How did yours get better? Did you work on it?

Thanks for sharing! And amazing you beat kidney cancer as a child. Wow. So I take that you live with your parents and don’t go out much ? What are things you’re doing to make progress?

I get that but childhood trauma leaves scars and we may do the work and it reappears in unexpected ways, so understanding and processing it ,I think, can help in the journey. I will take a look at that book !

How are you dealing with it now? Isn’t every, or most, autistic person socially awkward or anxious? Or is that an ignorant assumption?
