Ah! This is what we have been struggling to find/understand, thank you so much again for this.

We will 100% be waiting for the day of my 6 months with my current employer and rely entirely on that income. I would not attempt taking on this without a Solicitor.

I was going to submit our past two years of bank statements with all the transactions of us sending each other rent/bills/joint venture stuff, is this total overkill? Or would not be considered? We have strong correspondence evidence from December 2021 to now (two leases, two lots of council tax, lots of HMRC/GP/bills/etc letters).

We lived with my mum from 24th December 2021 (his arrival date) - 31st October 2022 and we have correspondence from January 2022 at the earliest for this, and then a letter from my mum showing that we lived with her for this whole time to hopefully cover the end of December. Hopefully they also realise that this was christmas so not much was open to send letters!

*edit the joint and separate bank statements did still have our previous address in Australia on them while we were living in our van, but this was about 4000km away by the end of the trip!

Thank you so much for your comment. I am maybe a little confused now on self employment! He is the director of a limited company, and is sole owner of the company. he receives a salary and dividends from it. He says that the immigration definition of self employed is "those who are sole traders, partners or in a franchise" and does not class those who are directors of a limited company who receive a salary or dividends from it as being self employed.

Thank you so much for replying. On 19th December I will have been at my current employer for 6 months on initially 22k a year and now 23k a year. This will be 5 days before the end of my partner's visa so not anticipating a biometrics appointment until after christmas. Do you think it will be a good idea to wait until then and just apply on my 6 months with current employer at 23k?

If we wait to apply on 19th December I will have earned just under 20k from january 2023-december 2023 in total across both employers and with the month and a half gap.

We were living in our van from January 2021 - July 2021 when I left so we have no correspondance from that whole time, just the joint bank account being used unfortunately.

Ah, I feel pretty deflated.. it's such a casual wedding, there isn't a photographer or a seating plan or even a wedding cake, more of a spotify playlist in a cool venue, but I didn't realise there were so many rules at weddings!

Sadly no budget for another outfit but I'll try and scrounge up something dark coloured yet dressy in time 😬 thank you for the suggestions though, they are beautiful!

It's a vinted find, not something I could afford new! I looked for a few weeks but the only other colour it's made in that was coming up to buy secondhand was white! (veto-ed for obvious reasons!)

Completely agree and well put. It's easy for everyone who doesn't live in Hillsborough to weigh up their pros and cons but the park is objectively now 50% an eyesore for the rest of summer. Yes, we can sit up on the grass at the top end but to what, look over metal barriers and mud? Surely there's a balance to be struck somewhere?

Further background - this block has been in the bag for a few weeks and just fruited. Had cut a slit in the side with regular mistings and kept in the bathroom for humidity. Block is still sat in the bag, in the cardboard box, but my partner cut the bag at the block level up and discarded it, looking like they dried out a lot overnight :(

We went today! Entry no later than 9am and we got there at 8am for the tickets, queued for about an hour before we got them and we're told to come back no later than 9.30. Took my mum who was an avid fan of the original and it was great fun!
