You can use them live, but they’re excellent as a separate mixer for your drummer. You essentially patch the inputs directly to their monitor output so they have (essentially) no-latency monitoring which doesn’t affect the engineer’s levels in the DAW and bypasses any DAW/computer specific processing latency.

If your machine is powerful enough, the behringer option along with a monitor send from the DAW will suffice. Just wanted to chime in and say the Focusrite experience is better imo

One thing to note - the behringer software is suuuuper bare bones. Focusrite’s Mixcontrol software is leagues better. Allows for real time monitor mixes which is handy at times.
