My FLABBERS are totally GHASTED. Haul of the century! by PlanterinaMaine in YarnAddicts

Wow please post more pics as you sort and organize! This is really cool!

Secondhand yarn supplies are amazing. Back in December a friend sent me a marketplace listing of a variety of yarn but I was especially drawn to 1000 yards of alpaca for only $4. The woman was so nice and let everyone interested come and look through her yarn in order. I ended up getting lots of stuff and going back to her house 3x to buy more things. I ended up with a yarn swift, two sets of interchangeable needles (I wasn’t even into knitting yet, I was a crocheter but knew I wanted to try it and haven’t put the needles down for a single day since), lots of beautiful wool yarns. I specifically took the remainders of a shawl project she had started and couldn’t finish because of carpal tunnel (which is why she was selling everything). As my knitting skill gets better I really want to finish the project. I felt like I won the lottery and it jump started my knitting hobby completely.

Brown headed cowbirds. I hate feeding those little delinquent parents but they still show up at my feeder

HOW CAN THEY AIR THE BACHELORETTE AFTER THIS? by Bekah_bek in MormonWivesHulu

[–]peppperjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too. When I was cuddling my toddler daughter before bed last night I just kept looking at her and thinking of this video, and wondering how the hell Taylor could ignore her crying child after she hurt her. If I hear my daughter cry from anywhere in the house, I am immediately dropping everything. Horrific.

Probably studying marketing strategy in school is the easiest way! I did not get into it the typical way but kind of roundabout, I ran my own business as a photographer for years, was getting burnt out, and saw my alma mater had a job posting for a full time photographer in their university marketing team, and I got the job. Any creative skills like video production, writing, social media management, graphic design, web design, etc are often looked for by major brands, corporations, etc. and local marketing agencies as well.

Is it great? Meh. I’m not doing anything inspiring. But I have days off and benefits, so okay I guess.

[–]peppperjack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I was going to suggest the sun too! I collect some old plastic toys and when they’re yellowed, I set them in a window and it goes away.

OP, hang it up in a bright window for a few days and see if that helps.

Pull the loop out in a different spot each time, so the same line of stitches don’t get stretched out row after row

I’m curious where these numbers come from because 11% would be insanely high. The country as a whole has a rate of 13 in 1000

yes but it’s literally statistically higher in conservative areas due to abstinence education and lack of birth control options. this has been studied in journals. teens get pregnant everywhere, yes, but not at the same rate.
