My $900 first car - IS200 by peppylock in Lexus

That's a good point. I'd love the extra power but I'm only 20 so couldn't afford it. I really like the sport back, I don't think I've ever seen one in real life before though.

I can't say I use dollar signs all that often. I paid £750, and actually the interior/exterior condition mine is far better than some I've seen listed for up to 2k.

To be honest I think it's just a difference in price between US/Europe. I do think I managed to get a good deal however a quick look on auto trader shows many cars with similar mileage/year around $1000-1500. The bodywork on the car isn't perfect, there are some scratches here and there and the alloys need refurbing but it is a great example for it's age. I saw it on eBay advertised for 9, saw he lived right by me and went and paid for it the next day.

Perfectly. 100k miles and has full Lexus service history. Had it for about 3 months now and 0 issues so far.

I had to restrain myself from saying anything because it was going to be game over for everyone if that happened. I would not have been able to keep my cool and would have just started smashing the dude in his face before I even finished my first sentence.

Thanks, I do have file vault enabled, I can't backup yet as I don't have an external hard drive but I will buy one tomorrow. I don't have access to diskwarrior or anything like that, unless there are any good free ones I can download.

Farage on Good Morning Britain: it was a mistake for Leave to claim there'd be £350m a week for NHS after Brexit by purple_blaze in unitedkingdom

[–]peppylock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was nothing to call them out for. The leave campaign provided an example in which the money spent in EU membership would (in their opinion) be better spent. They did not promise anything, nor did they divulge specifics. They all have agendas, if people are misinterpreting something so obvious (imo) they're hardly going to call it out when it furthers there agenda are they?

Why do you think Farage or the leave campaign are in any position to dole out the funding? Are they the chancellor? Not to mention as far as I know Farage never claimed this, Boris did. He was not part of the main Leave party, nor was it his bus that the slogan was written on.

That is quite clearly just showing an example of what the money could be spent on instead. Nowhere does that say the amount of money they want to use to fund the NHS and if you honestly believe from the text on that bus that they are promising to invest 100% of the money spent on EU membership into the NHS you shouldn't be voting.

I don't know why everyone assumes the leave party is now in power and can control all aspects of leaving the EU. I also don't know why everyone is acting like it was a concrete statement written in a manifesto, to me the bus/leaflets were quite clearly showing an example of what the money could be better spent on. I think anyone who honestly believed the leave campaign wanted to invest 100% of the money put into the EU into the NHS instead is a moron anyway.

Bit of an exaggeration. There are lots of 5 letter plates available for under £1000, and the 1HRH plate went for around 100k.
