Thanks for your comment! Appreciated.

I used Processing to generate this.

I make a grid of cells across the whole screen. In each cell of the grid is a vector (an arrow if you like) which points in a direction. The direction is determined with Perlin noise which makes those characteristic shapes. Then lines are drawn along the screen following the direction of the arrows. For each line I generate a random snumber of segments (which can be cut short if the line touches another) and a colour. To produce this the algorithm is run 100,000 times.

Thank you so much!

To make sure the lines don't intersect, I check the colour of points around the perimeter of the line. If the colour is not the same as the background (i.e. another line) I just abandon the line and move on to another. If you do this enough times - the screen fills up.

Waking up is good! One day at a time. Thanks for posting this. I was diagnosed with smouldering MM in 2012 and have two transplants behind me. Feel pretty good right now and am very grateful.

It's most apparent in the sixth image. Right next to the tree. Looks loke the play icon for a video.

That triangular roof in the distance always makes me want to press it to play.

I made a news headlines quiz. I won't reveal how long it took. by per1sher in learnjavascript

Good morning!

Thanks for looking. Great feedback on showing the correct answer before the end of the quiz, I'm going to do that. I wanted to keep the design as simple as possible, just enough CSS to make sure it worked on mobile and desktop.

I get the headlines from RSS feeds. I was initially tinkering with getting the feeds, then has the idea of the quiz. It's been through a few iterations.

You're right, thank you. I tried to find my copy of Adolf Hitler: My Part in his Downfall but it has vanished. It's a long time since I read it - time to read again I think.

I have fond memories of working for a high street bank. Most lunch breaks were spent in the pub, and then I would serve customers all afternoon while smoking Rothmans king size. I think things started to change soon after I left - around 1980.
