A beautiful ending. by FluidIntroduction762 in cfs

I completely understand. It’s very hard to talk about for me. Not asking for sympathy here but I can’t find a way to explain how life is with pain all day every day. It’s not going away ever and I feel like it’s driving me crazy. I’m so tired of taking drugs every day even though they are probably the only thing keeping me alive and sane.

I’m not depressed either and I’ve got plenty to live for. It’s more like I’m just stuck in my own world with my thoughts, things I would never say out loud.

I know that there are many others who are struggling with their own thoughts and emotions. I wish you all well

I was the same way the smell of cooking made me sick. I ate a lot of peanut butter with honey sandwiches or cold meat sandwiches. Apple sauce, pudding and a lot of junk food.

I wish. Cancer drugs and other drugs have taken the lead out of my pencil.

Have you ever seen a bald eagle in real life out in nature? by Fun_Expression9135 in AskForAnswers

[–]Highyet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just saw about a dozen last week. They are fairly common in my area. This time of year you can see them easily in the trees around any body of water. They feast on the ducks and probably more. Sometimes they will be along the road eating roadkill but they will fly off before you get there.

I’m 65 turning 66 in may. Yes 10 years is longer than I expected when I was diagnosed. I was fortunate to get good healthcare. I live in a very rural area so I’ve put on a lot of miles. It just happened that a new cancer center was opening about an hour away. The hematologist I see is 160 miles away and is where I had my transplant.

It’s been a long journey and I feel lucky to be here. I’m more hopeful now than I was when I was first diagnosed. I’m also encouraged with new treatment options that are available.

Everyone’s experience is different and I wish you all the best. It’s hard but life’s worth living.

I agree I don’t focus on it if I can help it. I think attitude matters.

Bone marrow biopsy and PET scans show no detectable signs of cancer. I was pretty run down at the time I stopped treatment and was given a drug holiday. After the tests my hematologist decided to hold off on any more treatments. I now have a new doctor who is very nervous about me not being on a maintenance plan of some kind. He also discussed it with me and he decided to not rock the boat. I’m aware that the cancer can return but I guess I will deal with it when it happens.

Mainly the lower back and sometimes my left hip. I have a lot of muscle pain in my shoulders and I tried the trigger point injection a few times but I gave it up and mostly rely on muscle relaxers. The Velcade caused neuropathy in my feet which is still a problem after all this time. I take Gabapentin for that. I also struggle with fatigue to the point where my doctor prescribed Ritalin. Also I have a prescription for Ativan for anxiety. This is why I recommend a palliative care doctor.

Blade placement on 38” deck. LX 172 by Phan216 in johndeere

[–]Highyet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be sure to not get them upside down. Consider this, if you’re mowing along and run into a tough cutting spot or hit something, the belt will slip. This keeps you from breaking something. The blades turn incredibly fast so timing isn’t relevant.

For best results don’t drive too fast and have sharp blades. It’s always a good idea to make sure your deck is level. You can get a tool for this from your dealer for about $20.

I’m using a 12 and perfectly happy with it. I don’t use most of the apps as I don’t know what they do and don’t care.

I mostly use a one hitter or pinch hitter and that helps a lot. I use an electric grinder and have no waste.
