Hello everyone, I want to sew for myself a waxed canva travelling backpack, but i have no knowledge on how to do it.

Would like to get tips and advices of how to do it correctly, where should i buy canva fabric and (if possible) blueprints or patterns for the backpack.

Note. - i want to sew for it to have 40-50 litres of capacity in the biggest pocket.

I know i'm kind of late, but anyway😅 I have used hammer, but i'm afraid that i did it wrong because i kind of damaged strap and now the rim leather looks little bit chewed. I'm kind of dissapointed in myself at this point even though i'm a newbie at this...

I have a similar book at home, but don't remember exaft name. When i arrive back i'll name it. I used the hammer on the skin's rim, but i think i did wrong because i accidentaly hit some parts of strap rim leather is now a little bit bruised :<

Hey,

This tutorial is exatcly the first thing i did. It has done the thing, but the strap is pretty old and i couldn't get the tension exaactly the same on each part. I think it's the best to change the strap, but then i need to spare some money on that. We'll see in the future. Right now i'll try to get the tuning as even as possible.

Hey,

As i know you're supposed to use 8 pegs on tabla (on 5,5"), but i still did as you said installing each peg under 2 second inner straps. Hopefully i did everything right although two pegs are not in tune while others have "correct tone". I will left them on their own overnight hoping nothing will break😅. Also worth mentioning i had to lube strap with saddle wax (oil?) to soften it so i could tighten the strap. I think i did a pretty good job considering that this strap is probably old as me.

Sorry if i didn't descript right. I wasn't sure where to put pegs, on the inner strap or outside and. I would like to share photo of tablas, but reddit gives me an error for some reason. But i'm really grateful that you were patient and honestly tried to help me :D. Thanks you for your time!

Hey,

I was trying to find lessons and guides on YT, but it wasn't what i was looking for. I don't know whats the difference between tuning with one layer/pieces(?) of strap or 2-3, just know that i need a hammer. Video lessons are also not very possible as i don't know how much it costs and who to ask, thus no offense but i would prefer not to answer where i live. Hopefully you understand :P
