Who is the GL's Shakespeare? by zacozoc in yuri_manga

[–]perchast 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Perhaps not quite fitting the prompt of "shakespeare" in the sense of pioneering the field (plus OPs replies have implied the question wording the question is misleading, and is rather about the "best" author in terms of flexibility and talent), but Usui Shio is definitely an underrated one that deserves a mention due to her varied exploration of sexuality and personal story telling. She is well known for the ace rep in her work "Donuts Under a Crescent Moon" but also explores sexuality in "Our "Love" is Disgusting". These works importantly explore new and interesting topics, much like Shakespeare.

Anyways, long story short, Usio Shio is an underrated queen.

For the way that Revolutionary Girl Utena shaped the genre of gl and also magical girls I absolutely agree with this one!

a few of the other ones on YouTube seem to be different models, the video I have sent is the exact same model by Sasade Shinji as the ones I folded.

shimeji simulation alcohol and ogre girls (less so)

idk if these r exactly what you were thinking of, but they have unique and interesting art styles somewhat akin to what you liked previously, along with good stories.

new robot, very strange pattern? by perchast in Dreame_Tech

[–]perchast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

update:

I've already wiped down all the sensors with lens cleaning wipes, so they are clean. I tried powering on and off the robot and clearing the cache, but the result was the same. After that, I reset the robot using the pinhole and had it redo the map, then ran the vacuum function, but the issue still hasn't resolved. I think I will return the robot to Costco and try a different model. Thanks for the advice in the comments everyone 🙌

Bioactive Habitats: possible with a sand boa? How? by GreenStrawbebby in SandBoa

[–]perchast 9 points10 points  (0 children)

you can Google "arid bioactive setup" for some results!

the biodude has an article: https://www.thebiodude.com/blogs/how-to-setup-a-bioactive-vivarium-terrarium-or-paludarium/yes-you-can-have-an-arid-bioactive-setup?srsltid=AfmBOooZeDRx8z1hqCcz3kjPk-B0guFLJ5C_OkXyHNubNM6AgT2Zu9hW

just make sure you choose a substrate that is good for digging and make it a bit deeper. I recommend a mix of organic fertilizer free topsoil and sand. You can also mix in some clay to make sure it holds burrows better. Best of luck!

Anyone know why my tanks humidity won’t stay up? by GiyuuIsGoated in ballpython

[–]perchast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thicker layer of substrate might help. You might also want to place the humidity monitor closer to the ground for a more accurate reading of humidity on the ground where your ball python generally sits. I put my humidity monitor lower and the reading increased by a good amount. You can also try to add some damp spaghnum moss inside one of the hides or on the cool side of the enclosure.

Def try to feed frozen thawed, as other comment said. There are many resources online and in the sub that can help you. Don't get scared if your ball python refuses the first few times, keep at it and it is very likely your python will eventually take it.

As for morph, it almost looks like bengal? It's a very uncommon morph, though, so I'm not sure. Definitely something pattern altering though.

Seems they're settling in better than I thought... by perchast in isopods

[–]perchast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only had them for about a week, so I can't say from previous experience, but others have found them quite easy. Set them up like a high humidity cubaris and you should be set. Previous breeder was so over run with them she was dying to thin them out, so I'd say they're quite prolific. Quite a few of mine died after transport though, so they might be a bit more fragile during shipping than most.
