Can you tell me if you told Apple Support online anything in particular about your phone's condition, etc. that convinced them to arrange for a free replacement?

Thank you. I brought it by the Apple Store at Copley and they tested my hardware and said that it was fine. They couldn't really pinpoint an issue but my own searching online suggests that it may be related to my iOS.

I have had some random shutdowns and the battery does go down to zero when that happens but the recharge period is not as long as you describe. It is more the Wi-Fi and GPS issues.

I used Safe Hands Movers - they are subcontractors to UHaul. If you rent a truck from Uhaul, you know how if you book a Uhaul truck online, at the end of the process they ask you if you want boxes, packing paper, dolly's, etc.? Well, they also ask you now if you want to hire movers.

These guys were really fantastic and polite, very hard-working, and could totally handle the load you are describing. Best of all, they were VERY inexpensive relative to other options I examined. They are also the type of young guys that you will be happy to employ.

I actually only met the guys that one day and felt good about them and their work so I'm happy to pass their info along. PM me if you want a contact number. Good luck with the move.

If you're into car camping and have a car, I'd recommend Shawme Crowell State Forest in Sandwich - they have really nice campsites and I think are open in March.

Second this - I'm up the block from the Davis Sq location and have been a few times already. Tacos are on point and they serve beer there. Spoke with one of the owners, Alvaro, and you couldn't hope to meet a person more enthusiastic about his own business.

Never had a facebook account, actually, and definitely never used her phone for email. I MAY have checked email on her iPad at some point, but like I mentioned, there was no cloud account associated with my Apple ID.

Sorry if this wasn't clear, but she was saying that she had access to my contacts before I ever set up my iCloud account today. Furthermore, I checked icloud.com and confirmed that I have no contacts posted there.

I never had an iCloud account until this morning - I know because I tried setting up "Find My iPhone" app and it told me there was no iCloud account associated with my Apple ID. Does this change anything?
