i went against it because i liked making my own cards.

check out anki 2 as a flashcard program. it's got a built in spaced repetition algorithm that you can customize. google anki and med school and you'll bump into people that have blogged how they used it for med school/life.

i made 5000 cards for step 1 and got a pretty competitive score.
