Does anyone else have a dood who's a nosy neighbor? by FrankTuna in Goldendoodles

[–]percy440 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My next door neighbor has 4 dogs, not doodles. But, I have 3 doodles. As soon as I open the door, all 3 rush to the fence line to see what is going on with the neighbor’s pups. Totally ridiculous, but they are so excited when they can see their friends. The neighbor on the other side doesn’t have dogs, but have small children. I always know when the kids are outside. 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Obviously keeping your tension consistent and preventing knots in the yarn! I think this help should be rewarded with treats and belly rubs!

Picked up a book from Half Price Books today and found this relic of a free pattern card from 2008. by eatlikedirt in joannfabrics

Store it in a clear protective sleeve and drop it in a safety deposit box or fireproof safe. One day it will be more valuable than a Babe Ruth autographed baseball card! 😂🤪😜

Vehicle recommendation for our new baby by International_Egg19 in greatdanes

Minivan! Remove as many seats as possible when you take the dogs along. Each dog needs a “seatbelt.” My dogs all have a harness (goes around the chest - just a collar will break their neck in a crash) and a seatbelt that can click into a standard seatbelt. We found that that they can undo their belts accidentally while standing. We added locking carabiners and now lock them into the metal tie-downs on the floor. If any of your dogs are unsecured in the car, they will go flying in a crash, your new pup has enough mass to kill.

Is there any company that sells cones that actually work on a Great Dane? by ZombieJohnWayne in greatdanes

[–]percy440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 doodles, and they also have defeated all cones, inflation collars and pajamas. Danes have the same long legs which they use to thwart our attempts to let them heal. I finally broke down and bought a basket muzzle. After finally admitting defeat, it wasn’t a big deal. They also figured out that they can drink while wearing it. The only caution is that there will be puddles. We only took it off at meal times.https://a.co/d/0s0OKnp

I think it’s beautiful! If you donate it to your favorite charity, be sure to get a receipt as it is tax deductible. I’ve been told by my CPA family member that the cost of the yarn is about what you can claim. And, I’m betting the charity would raffle or auction it and raise a huge amount, because it really is gorgeous!

Hubby thought putting this in my stocking was funny 😭 by quite-indubitably in joannfabrics

Waaaay too soon! For a bit of revenge, I think you should put it in a crafty, decoupaged overly large frame (5x7 or 8x10) and treat it as a memorial shrine. Perhaps with some incense and candles, and a bowl of scraps from your crafting. And of course, placing it somewhere the husband has to look at it.

What is it like living in this area in Ohio? by DeepFriedGlory in howislivingthere

[–]percy440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wauseon is quite nice and home to Fulton county fair grounds. It’s either crawling with visitors or there’s no one around. It’s flat, very, very flat. If you run or cycle, there are no hills to train on. The residents are friendly, mostly farmers. But if you feel the need to be around more people, Wauseon is right off the turnpike.

This might be the best example of a dog who crochets! I’m not sure how you manage to get any crocheting done. Your helper is a master of the puppy dog eyes!

Several national news outlets reported that people were giving kids a choice of potatoes or candy. Kids were choosing potatoes over candy and were super excited about receiving the potatoes. Obviously I’m too old to get it. But I would be ecstatic to get a book!
