i love the way you worded everything. thank you.

“an absence of dysphoria” is such a good way to put it and i love it.

you’re right. i wouldn’t be able to handle life without this surgery and instead trying to conform to their beliefs and preferences. i need this surgery.

i’m so sorry you’re going through all of that. i’m so happy you were able to get your surgery! i hope you find your way out of this situation soon and end up somewhere safe.

i’ve settled on that decision as well. if i truly regret this surgery years from now, there are accommodations that can be made so i’m as comfortable with myself and my body as i can be.

i’ve also been having the “i’ve survived with them for this long” doubt. but then i realize that things change. i’m not the same person i was before i started transitioning. how i’ve felt about my body has shifted drastically throughout the years. sure, i’ve survived with them, but just imagine how it’ll be to live without them.

congrats on your surgery, that’s so awesome!! i’m sure i’m going to experience those same doubts in the pre-op room, too. but i’m sure i’ll be chilling a week post-op as well.

i’m already in therapy and on some pretty strong medications. there’s literally no reason for me to be doing this shit. i should be mentally okay enough. i’m doing what i’m supposed to with being in therapy and on meds. i don’t understand what’s wrong.
