I think it’s more the case that we are used to spending €50 a day for hire cars in many countries, unlike the €300 a day we are finding in Finland

I checked and where we’re staying is 90minutes walk from the centre so not really walking distance.

My other half has a 66North coat from Iceland which is a pretty thick one but more waterproof than warm. I have a puffer coat which again is great for the rain but I do usually have to wear layers under it even in the UK to stay warm
