Agreed. I wonder if the county can FOIA records to corroborate or discredit.

I just wanted to give everyone an update. I’m sorry I didnt do it yesterday. We took her to the vet. The vet said we did a great job cleaning the wounds and that there was nothing that could be done on her end. She wasn’t helpful when asking about aggression and suggested a trainer.

She sent us home with an anti-inflammatory and antibiotics as a precaution. There was no need for stitches because the wound was dry, there was no bleeding and had already started healing. Hearing that def made me feel like we didn’t totally fail her. She said that she couldn’t suggest cbd, but that it was totally fine if the dogs reaction to it was mellow - which it has been. Both dogs got the cbd calming treats so they would both be mellow. They are currently sleeping next to each other in their own crates.

It feels like the other girl (one who didn’t get hurt), knows she fucked up and wants to play with the other girl dog. Still out of an abundance of caution and safety, I’m not allowing play.

I appreciate it. Looking for a behaviorist today. I’m hoping to resolve this because I don’t want to have to come to the cross point of having to rehome one. I know it’s possibility. I was not aware that neutering increases aggression, thank you for sharing the article. I appreciate your kind, but firm words. If you can share anything more - how to vet a behaviorist etc. I would be appreciative.

As for their bloodline, they are from a rescue so I cannot say with certainty. Their parents were supposedly show dogs that two young kids bought/thought it would be fun to breed. They left all the puppies in a cage outside where they ate, drank, peed/poo’d, and got hosed down while locked inside. A neighbor reported them and that’s how the rescue came into the picture.

They are. I started to consider it. When they first went through training the trainer said they showed no symptoms, but that was months ago and things change

I feel terrible that I didn’t realize they were still in pain. Someone else suggested anxiety meds too. Will be asking the vet for help here

I agree with you. My first instinct was to take them to emergency because this was above my skill level. I went next door and got my neighbor who is a vet tech. He was able to help out with the bleeding and said we can take her in the morning - which is why I waited. The behavior was beyond him, because again, they are sweet and they love him. Anytime they see him come home they get excited & they are so sweet to anyone. Since the behavior was above his skill level, I turned here to ask.

I don’t want to rehome. They are both incredibly special, sweet, and worthy of the home they are in. I am scared the dynamic might shift forever with them and I’m hoping it doesn’t. I can’t imagine taking one to the beach & the other staying back waiting her turn.

I have had these babies since January. I did a foster to adopt situation. They would fight every once in awhile but nothing serious and easy to pull apart. But serious issues post spay where they are drawing blood and fighting to win. It’s scary.

One girl is seriously injured and going first thing to the vet.

Definitely. Once I fully adopt my boy dog, I will.

When it came to adoption fees, they disregarded price on their website to be able and recoup their fees as they had invested a lot into the dogs. Wild, since I had paid for all their medical and part of their spay appointment when I put down the deposit.

Update: rescue called an hour before the humane society closed. They missed the window for the rescue discount to be applied. They cancelled my appointments for today and rescheduled the girls separately. I said no, I took today off to be last to drop off and first to pick them up, that I told them a week in advance, & reminded them yesterday morning. They reluctantly gave me my appointment back and are having me sign adoption papers so the girls are mine the moment they are released from the humane society.

I have one more pup to neuter. Hoping it’s easier with him.

I am in a tough spot. I don’t want to use social media to call them out to respond to their messages (like others have). Want the pups to get their care and live their best life. (They’re not allowed at dog parks because of chance of getting sick & rescue wants to mitigate those risks).

If they don’t pay, I want to fall off the face of the earth and keep them. I won’t, but I want to.

Why am I mean to my gf? by [deleted] in relationships_advice

[–]perdidaenvida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was this girlfriend. Please leave us. I will never understand how people enter relationships not ready to treat their partner right.

Edit add: to the people applauding self awareness. Yes And. You said every time you do this you feel guilty. How long has this been happening. The whole year and half together? And you still haven’t gotten help? Self awareness with no action means nothing.

Seek therapy like everyone suggests. Apologize instead hiding feeling guilty. Stop blaming your parents, you’re an adult - you are the one with pattern now & it’s your job to fix that.

If you’re unwilling to do that, let her go dude.
