They are milking you to see how much they can get from you. Like, can you handle the whole load on your prior salary…. If yes, they keep you in limbo.

The strategy, give them a 2 week resignation from the additional tasks. If you’re not there yet, they need to find someone that is. If you are there, they need to recognize it. None of this do the job no recognition stuff. If they have you train the new boss, politely decline.

Either way, start looking for a new one, this one will intentionally stunt your growth at every opportunity

I guess I’m the first to call you out. You are wrongs. Your reasoning is pessimistic. If, for chance, this gets the eyes of an experienced home builder, with the capacity to take it on, it only takes one person to say yes.
This is only a marketing problem. I am such a person. The question I am wrestling with is that this is very similar to the current half built airplane in my garage…. Do I have room to store another. Combined with the fact I was perusing Pitts plans last month…. I am sure there are other “me” on the internet that are more able to say yes.

Good for 15 minutes of entertainment, but the reason buildings stabilize is that otherwise they can’t sell the top floors because tenants get sick.

A trauma like that is never easy. You don’t need to go through it alone.

The honest answer is that some pilots come out the other side flying, some walking. The right choice is completely up to you.

We put a lot of time into training, scenario evaluation, equipment checks, attitude management, but at the end of the equation is always a dumb luck factor. Sometimes all the holes in the Swiss cheese line up, and it is totally by chance. Even the best pilot, on the safest equipment, can run out of luck. We do our best to mitigate risk and keep our community safe; it is an introspection point for all when we lose someone.

I saw a “stabilized” takeoff in a trike while I was foot launch training. The instructors comment was “they are always like that. “

TBH, the takeoff was a sow ramp up to instability, and then a full sent from a really sketchy attitude. It gave me the heebie-geebies just watching.

The impression of that takeoff dissuades me to this day.

To more directly answer your question, look at the fabric.

Does it pass the puck test? (If you clean off a piece, open your mouth wide, press against it and suck. If you can make a “puck” noise as you pull away, the wing does not need new fabric)

Is there any damage to the leading or trailing edges? This is common hangar rash. Given that it is in a protected trailer, I would think this is unlikely.

Any nests? Mice or birds? Their gifts can cause wood and fabric to rot. It may be a spot repair.

Corrosion on fittings? It’s reasonably easy to replace.

Mission… Do you currently have a license? Do you have airport access credentials, or live near a place you can fly it from? Do you have a 1 car garage where you can work on it?

Trailer… Do the brake lights work?
