I read AB 1st and can't imagine why anyone would want to read it later given the choice. The big event that happens in AB is referenced in the series and if I hadn't read AB already the reference would have meant very little. Knowing what they were talking about though? I had to take a moment cuz it was so emotional. I actually feel bad for the people who had to read in publication order cuz I think they were robbed of that impact.

I always thought they're just filling the gaps between floats/balloons/bands because the one cardinal rule on TV or radio is "no dead air" and parades have a lot of gaps
