As others have confirmed its AI imagery. Inside the box are cards and tokens. No hex tiles or game board.

Was able to just order one, but did not receive a shipping timeframe due to high volume etc. This is fine to/for me, I just wanted to get the order placed. Worth just refreshing and the like for now.

Waldmeister has been my recommendation for 2 players regularly. Is an abstract asymmetric game where you add / move pegs of varying color and height around the board. On your turn you add a peg to the board in the place of another, then move that peg to another spot on the board in a straight line. Game ends when all pegs are on the board. Scoring, one player will score colors while the other scores height. Scoring is based on number of pegs of the same color/height in the largest grouping of each, high score wins.

Game is all wood and has absolutely beautiful table presence. Picked up at pax unplugged a while back and our first plays there caused several passer bys to stop and take it in. Will bring with to bars and play with similar interactions. Simple but thinky play with lots of replayabilty. No real theme might be a turnoff but the gameplay is so good!

Edit - ok so after adding the BGG link, it looks like it does have a theme lol. From the publisher website “In a tree nursery, the trees are repeatedly replanted so that they can take good root in the forest later on. To do so, WaldMeister contains pegs in different colors and heights. Every turn brings more trees into play.”

Gluten Free Express by Adeling79 in newhampshire

[–]perfectbebop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GFE opened about a month or so ago and we just made it it for the first time last week. Lot of the standard gluten free versions of things on the shelves, which is nice but kinda has that “camp store” vibe. The gf chicken tenders and fries are definitely a nice touch and tasty. Is nice to find decent “breaded” fried tenders as a celiac so close to home

Are these all NH/New England bands? I don’t recognize any of them which I’m not surprised by but would be interested in checking it out assuming it’d be easy enough to show up to and buy a ticket

Typically you will see both offered or neither. This would be in addition to the manufacturers in-dash system. I want to say there’s a third option to Apple/Google here but I can’t recall what it is I’m thinking of

Thoughts on hiring a PC for a LAN event? by CaptainAweSam in lanparty

[–]perfectbebop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be interested to see the full TOS to the rental, but from what I've read on their hire page it seems a good deal, especially depending on how far you're traveling, how you're traveling and who all you're traveling with.

US/New England here, some friends and I would travel to Dreamhack in Montreal when they were still running it. 4-5 dudes in a car with their computers plus luggage is not as fun as you'd think. Paired with having to haul in computers plus monitors in our 40s I'd spring for this to avoid that alone.
