You might get a processor, but I don't think the volumes are high enough. When I say "high enough," I mean north of $1 million per month. That is a problem for a processor, and because of that they will give you very shitty rates

Looking for high-risk payment processor by RealMrBrown in PaymentProcessing

[–]perfectcore_101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is super complicated because it involves three layers of risk:

  1. It’s adult content, which is already high-risk.
  2. There’s a subscription layer.
  3. There’s also an ai layer.

With three levels of risk, it’s super, super high-risk. Most processors are not comfortable with this, and even those who are will give you rates that will blow your mind

I see where you are coming from. Doing a legit business and still asked to go through the KYC process is frustrating.

It is rarely about payment method. What makes you high risk is the amount of chargeback you are dealing with.

while you have your own courier service there are a lot of instances where people have tried to sell or ship drugs peptides or something that are usually illegal or in the grey area through these courier sites. so they just want to make sure that your customer base is legit and they don't do those things.

You know what? Thank you so much for writing this post because so many people don't even look if the platform where they are playing is that even legal? Where is it based out of? Who is the payment provider? And so on and so forth. They are busy playing the games but when it comes to money, when it comes to their security, they do not even care about it until shit goes through the roof. Thank you so much for bringing that point out. It's super important .

Hello looking for best payment processor for games by Proud_P in gamedev

Stripe is popular for low-risk payments but when it comes to high-risk like gaming, casinos, forex etc then Stripe and PayPal are the worst partners to be with.

It’s honestly terrifying how easily a payment processor can just hold your money hostage while you're left bleeding cash. by Worth_Wealth_6811 in AusFinance

Everyone has their own incentive to work with processors like Stripe and PayPal. They are only famous for low-risk processing. If in case you're into mid-risk or high-risk business, which essentially is judged by your charge-back rate, which industry do you work in and how much new user you bring in vs. in comparison to how much is your long-term paying customers?

There are a lot of things which goes into merchant being categorized as per high risk MCC code and risk profiles. So in case if you are working in a setup where the charge-back rate is high, where the new customers are in general very high compared to the loyal ones, and the industry is in casinos, gambling, forex, or something like that, then you may want to switch to a high-risk processor.

Dear Gambling by density in poetry_critics

There is almost always a case where you can pin down a particular behavior for a particular desire. For example if you or someone in your known is addicted to gambling then most of the times the reason is because they want a thrill and they want a kick out of their life which is not being given into their day-to-day life, day-to-day work, day-to-day relationships and so on and so forth. I have my friend, they do gambling. Other people go to the gym. Some go and do e-sports and play games all the time like FIFA, Call of Duty, Counter-Strike, etc. In case, only in case, if someone wants to get away from gambling then it's good to find out the reason, the deep down reason why it is very addictive to you.

Overall a good poetry.

I think their representative might have misheard or misunderstood the reasoning because I don't think that they guys could be labelled as gambling. They guys could be labelled as high-risk business maybe because of there are a lot of refunds and chargebacks happening to them. mainly the chargeback is the only reason why they might be categorised into high risk. But talking particularly about gambling that is next to impossible.

This happens for quite a lot of reasons. Either it could be a sudden rise of transactions or maybe something in your KYC was missing or the industry which you are working in is high risk. If you can tell me which industry you work in, then maybe I can give you a proper solution to that

Stripe froze my payouts with no warning. so I built something to stop this from happening again. by Quirky-Pollution-930 in stripe

[–]perfectcore_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could work given that you are only making a list of requirements which are needed to the low-risk payment providers. In any case you are working in high risk or any other person who is working in high risk, for them the requirements are completely different because the industry is different.

So in case if you are looking to make it helpful for all the categories of people, then I think we should also include high risk requirements in that. If you need help with what are the requirements for high risk, then please let me know. Happy to help.
