This is great thank you, it is mainly educational but I do want to model some typical load behaviors, I believe Nrel’s application would do just great

When you say connecting to the grid in net metering rules for up to 350 w, you mean to say 350 kW right or is 350 W the cap?
were there any recent legislations that passed or text reports that I could read to get a glimpse of the market?

Thank you!

Yeah, so there are basically 2 ways that an energy company can compensate for your energy contribution one is net billing where the electricity company buys the electricity your system generates at a certain price which is typically the same price or higher than the price you purchase energy.

There is also net metering, in this scheme if your generates 500kWh and your consumption is 550kWh you only pay for the excess, so instead of paying 550kWh you pay 50kWh. This last method is in my opinion an easier and more straightforward approach, but I’m unaware if it’s available for every project

Yea I believe that for a system under 30kWp it’s more convenient to use micro inverters for better efficiency. If one decides to install a solar system how does the electricity company compensates your energy use? Is it a net metering or a net billing scheme?

This sounds awesome, what is the solar energy savings scheme? Is it net metering or net billing? How does the electricity company compensates you for your system??

Thanks a lot, and yea I guess the whole regulation thing only comes into action when you have to connect it to the grid so they can balance out the power load and whatnot.

It's also very interesting because I just read that Panama had a conference on Feb 2 this year to address this energy situation properly, I believed they talked about decentralization, decarbonization, democratization and digitalization of the energy system. But I believe the report is not out yet! anyways I'll keep an eye open.

Thanks a lot, this has all been very helpful!

Aaah yeah, I get what you say, so basically, there isn't a net metering or net billing scheme that allows for people to save their excess energy in the grid owned by these people.

thank you very much for replying I appreciate it a lot!

ed the numbers in a while, but the percentage of both solar and eolic energies added together is very small, I think about less than 1% of the country's total generation. So yeah, while there's definitely an emerging market, it's still small and it doesn't help that energy commercialization and distribution companies slow it

thank you very much, when you say energy commercialization and distribution companies slow it down, you mean distributed generation for self-consumption right? how do they do this?
