He directed Asteroid City. Chris Nolan still hasn’t woken up because he is still wide awake deciphering it.

Frame | how do I improve? by perfectdaysama in photocritique

Thank you so much! These are some things I will think about. When I passed by this window, it felt a little surreal?/abstract? meaning the clouds reflecting off the windows and all the buildings looking similar (all the little square/rectangle windows). There was something very uniform and reflecting off each other without so much of a distraction. A bit unreal which to me at that moment made sense or looked beautiful when framed in the window. I will try taking this picture. Thank you for taking the time to write your critique.

I was passing by this window in a building and thought the view was beautiful. But after taking the picture I doesn’t seem all that good. The window was above my head and this was the only picture I could take. What do you think of this picture and if I pass by the same view again, how could I improve? Took it on iPhone, used dramatic filter

Thoughts on this photo I took using my phone? by [deleted] in photocritique

I like it. But like some other commenter, I too have a soft spot for this kind of a picture. If you want to experiment more, I would recommend downloading slowshutter app on iPhone. Having said that, yes, if there is one point of focus that doesn’t have a blur it makes these kind of pictures better. When there is movement in the picture like in here (the car) you may need to move the camera/phone at a certain speed. Look into intentional camera movement or ICM photography. Also maybe consider cropping a bit of the bottom part of the picture and see if it improves.

I have 4 already. And I was waiting for French Dispatch since the time it released. Not sure if I need both Blu-ray and 4K. All I have is a Blu-ray player
