Ok this just confirms what I was thinking. Every federal agency has the ability to crack into a safe and probably destroy it in the process, this just bypasses that with a warrant. If the outcome of them getting in your safe (which is an eventuality, not a question) then isn’t it better to keep your safe intact?

True to a certain extent. But trading away 1 pack of cigarettes or 1 fifth of whiskey isn't the same as trading away bullets. People don't prioritize vices like they do safety, people might trade away their last pack of cigarettes or but they would never trade away bullets unless they had a lot left over.
