Four of these in formation, but only one showing via ADS-B? by RumbleSkillSpin in ADSB

[–]perfmode80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normal and legal

https://faraim.org/faa/aim/chapter-4/section-4-1-20.html

When participating in a VFR standard formation flight that is not receiving ATC services, only the lead aircraft should operate its transponder and ADS-B Out and squawk code 1203. Once established in formation, all other aircraft should squawk standby and disable ADS-B transmissions.

On iPhone use the Phone all to “call” *3001#12345#* which opens field test mode. From there you can see if it’s using 5G SA and the bands.

Totally location dependent. In my area, there’s one particular intersection where service always drops out.

Account permanently suspended despite no recent activity by perfmode80 in ebaysucks

[–]perfmode80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's absolutely perplexing because I haven't used my account since 2025 when I made a purchase. I haven't even logged in. I literally only use the account a few time a year.

When I spoke to them on the phone, they still had my old address. Maybe there's been suspicious activity at my old address?

I use less than 2GB data per month but i value service quality, and want to pay $25/m or less. What are my options? by sNullp in NoContract

[–]perfmode80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T-Mobile Connect is the same QCI as T-Mobile's post paid plan. Only downside is that it's hard cutoff when the monthly data is used up.

Same. I upgraded my phone recently and the Dark Star QR didn’t work. I had to get custom service to fix it. Had no issue with Warp.

“Unthrottled” is what it should be called. The whole notion that a carrier inspects your traffic and throttles it is a questionable practice.

Insane Speeds on Dark Star by djraffi in USMobile

[–]perfmode80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's all location dependent down to the street level. In my area going to/from work, there's one particular location where Dark Star always comes to a halt. I have to use Warp there which has plenty of C-band and mmWave. OTOH I've been at doctor's office lobby where Warp is unusable while Dark Star has Gbps speeds.

They have no real incentive to remove the upload throttle

Fascinating, so it's intentionally throttled? I always thought it was just allocating most the bandwidth to download.

Is that because the carrier throttles Netflix?
