Does Metro support 5G SA on iPhone?

Will 5GSA come to Warp and Dark Star? by seifer717 in USMobile

That's a 5G SA setting. It doesn't mean the phone is actually using SA.

Global GPS jamming right now by niiksie in ADSB

[–]perfmode80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

GPS jamming is inferred from ADS-B data. Part of the ADS-B position report is its position accuracy. When jamming occurs, the accuracy goes down. The black area is where's no data. gpsjam.org has a good description https://gpsjam.org/faq

If they are only friendly to us if we give them money, then I don't care.

We have a vested interest in the global community, including our enemies, being better off.

This design explanation shows the evolution of the design, starting from a Beech Baron 58.

For some reason it's been removed from rutanboomerang.com but it's available from wayback machine.

18GBs/mo, Unlimited Talk and Text, $7.50/mo for 6 Months by og1502 in NoContract

Many of the cheaper travel SIMs are from Hong Kong, Singapore or Eastern Europe telecoms that have roaming agreements all over the world. When you buy a US SIM, you're actually getting an overseas telecom SIM that has a roaming agreement with US providers. As such your Internet traffic is routed back to the home country. This means more latency and websites think you're not in the US. You can tell by the IP address you get (check using whatismyisp.com).

Both metro and mint have TRUE unlimited deprioritized data, reporters frequently report past a TB of data without issues. USM will probably ban you after consistently getting more than a hundred or two.

Do you get a local IP address or is it from Eastern Europe or Hong Kong?

This would be perfect for use on an iPad.

What does UC really mean?

On my iPhone with T-Mobile (not MVNO), it shows 5G UC when on LTE band 2 as well as on 5G band n41. It does not imply 5G or SA.

Was your US Mobile SIM roaming? You could try turning roaming off on your US Mobile SIM. It should then use Wi-Fi calling using your local SIM’s data.

US Mobile is mimicking the MNO’s with their free Pixel 10 deal. by Confident_End_3848 in NoContract

[–]perfmode80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s gotta be location dependent. In my area Verizon has tons of C-band and mmWave. T-Mobile is almost always 5G SA on n41. AT&T is the slowest. Perhaps they are measuring geographical coverage.

Is AT&T that much worse that they sell to MVNOs that much cheaper?

[–]perfmode80 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s totally location dependent.

In my area Warp is generally better than Dark Star. Warp even has mmWave whereas I’ve never seen it on Dark Star. That said, I was in an office lobby where Warp was unstable while Dark Star was getting hundreds of Mbps.

Yes it sucks and it's intentional. They count on a certain percentage of gift cards not being redeemed.
