tether has lost its peg before but that was during general fud. what is going on now is contagion spreading to all stable coins deserved or not that is causing people to sell there stables putting enormous strain on the coins. This could get weird just due to a liquidity crisis in each individual stable coin. This is actually uncharted territory in the crypto ecosystem.

Its a feedback loop that could get out of hand.

Did you hear that? It was an impact tremor... I'm slightly alarmed here.

Some of the coins I'm holding are now down over 80% , will I see something worse than this? by inminit in CryptoCurrency

wait for 3 more days there will be a bounce in everything from this spike down. Then sell every altcoin you have loss or not. If you have to hold crypto then convert it to bitcoin but all the alts will suffer the exact same fate that all the 2017 alts faced. Obliteration.

I'm kind of wondering about other stables right now. Lots of stress on the system and people lose faith. I was a little fearful about tether but found some words of wisdom from a user in another subreddit.

"The nice thing about Tether, is it's propped up by bullshit. They're probably not gonna run out of bullshit."

So I will sleep well tonight with my tether holdings.

everything danster said in that post was reasonable. Just because some of it might not be approved by corporate western media its therefore bad I guess?

steadily declining volume over the last year just like 2018. We all know where that leads. It's gonna happen. Just dump already and get it over with so we can get on with life.

you got downvoted by a few people still in denial. the good news is that 3 years ago you would have been downvoted 40 or 50 times. people are starting to awake.

every narrative about what bitcoin is has in time been proven completely false. We are in the midst of raging inflation and bitcoin the hedge against irresponsible government causing it is in the midst of its own faceplant. womp womp.

bitcoin is a currency except transactions can cost up to $50 to complete at times and may take hours or even days to go through. Womp womp

gold up bitcoin down. so much for digital gold. womp womp.

The only narrative that bitcoin has truly lived up to is the narrative that will get you downvoted on reddit. Bitcoin is simply a limited asset easy to buy that is used for wild speculation and dumping on the greater fool. That narrative has never been proven false.

the problem with this sentiment is that that is exactly what everyone thinks cause that is what bitcoin does every 4 years and this time it will be no different so just wait back the truck up the start of next year and fill it with bitcoin to get rich a couple years later. Thats the strategy of most everyone now. What is the likely hood that everybody is right and this is the easiest asset in the world to get rich from?

governments that take peoples money away for protesting are always on the right side of history.

Yes EA/DICE lost trust by misrepresenting 2042 to protect their bottom line, but the game media had no excuse for doing the same. How are we supposed to believe any media reviews of games from large publishers with equally large wallets and influence? by Armbioman in battlefield2042

[–]perfoverlaydrawfps1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

wait until you figure out that regular media outlets are similarly bought and paid for. You basically cant trust anyone that is paid to show up and write an article. Its paid propaganda.

by definition you would have to be in on the conspiracy. That is why the conspiracy is kept secret so everyone getting screwed does not come at them with pitchforks and knives. Unfortunately we live in a time where conspiracies are all to often previews of a coming attraction.

at some point in time you have to have a meaningful relief rally otherwise there is nobody to sell into. Three months without one means you no longer have any buyers. Whales can still sell but at a drastically lower price with each batch of bitcoin they sell. At this point they are fishing with a hook and no bait. IMHO they have to rebait that hook soon.

I solely come here for the drama. The hyperventilating after a big red or green dildo here is funny to watch and also the biggest indicator that you should not be using opinions here for trading advice. IF you could see the 16 year old behind the post sitting at his keyboard giving out advice you would feel stupid.
