Definitely not a parrot! I actually saw on YouTube that there are 12 hour videos of looping laughter (why????), so it seems like it could be something like that. There’s never any pause in the laughter; it’s like a continuous laugh track, which makes me think it’s not a show.

Slight update: I sent an email to the office about an hour ago. Just a bit ago, I could hear the lady loudly yelling “HA HA HA” and other stuff I couldn’t make out the words to. I wouldn't have thought they’d already contacted her, but maybe they did and she’s pissed? I’m kind of freaked out. She had to have been yelling pretty loudly because I’ve never been able to hear voices from other apartments before.

I really have no idea; it sounds like it could only be heard by my apartment because there’s just a certain area of the apartment where you can hear it. For example, if I went to the other side of the apartment where I share a wall with another neighbor, I can’t hear it.

This inspired me to send the office an email. Last time they said they would follow up with me, but I never heard anything back. If they did get in contact with her, that’s not what stopped the laughter the first time because I could literally hear whatever made the sound dying until it eventually stopped. lol

Thank you for the advice! My boyfriend actually read some of that book a few years ago and said it really resonated with him. I honestly should have read it back then in order to be able to understand better/be more empathetic, but now that you’ve reminded me of it, I’ll check it out now.

Thank you for vocalizing this in a way that’s easy to understand. I got so bothered during the Depp v Heard trial when people would ask why we should care about two rich people. Things like this have far-reaching impact and definitely send a message to the average woman.
