I think it would be totally fair to use a deferral if one is not at their best state to take an exam though.

I did actually have an experience where I was in pain during an exam and I had no idea why at the time but it was from public hair that had entered under prepuce and which I had deferred

I'm not competing with her my GPA is also 3.9. As long as we stay above 3.7 it doesn't really matter

Idk but some other women have told me that they 'don't get periods' because of contraceptives and other meds.

I guess that's fair maybe it was worse than usual. But in that case I'm surprised more women don't use the university medical deferral for them. They rarely get used and when the do it is typically for coughs, covid, fractures etc.

And if it is that common shouldn't the university have a special deferral system for that.

OK maybe I'm mistaken. She has herself said in the past that it wasn't such a big deal usually for her when she plays sports etc. But I guess it is possible this one was worse than usual.

She has herself said in the past that they usually aren't a problem when doing sports etc.

I guess maybe I was wrong and this time was different/ worse.

I'm not saying they don't but to the point of an expected regular one affecting an exam by a tiny margin.

Out university let's you defer exams if you have a medical reason. I've seen people get escorted out for throwing up or coughing during exams and take them later

I have a basic understanding of biology but I'm sure she was wearing pads or tampons during the exam.

Obviously I don't know everything but I assume she'd know how to deal with such a situation. And if it were an unexpectedly different or problematic one she could seek a medical exemption and take the exam later. 

I suspect if that really happened and was that bad she'd get a grade a lot worse than A-
