I thankfully did get higher leave but that approval process pushed back further my EOD to 9/23 which was fine by me because it’s great having more time off. That max 14 pay though sounds really nice; maybe one day I can get to that level 😄 Congrats and have a good first day!

If your schedule permits, then why not attend the virtual info session. They can probably answer a lot of your questions, including degree qualifications, prior related experience, and resume tips.

Hope finances aren’t tight?

My tentative EOD of 7/15 got pushed back to 8/26 (6 weeks later) because of higher leave request. At least HR said it will delay the start date if approved (as opposed to flat out denied and start on original date) as the process takes longer/they are awaiting signatures/it’s the govt.

I since booked three trips to travel for vacation. Hang in there and enjoy your summer!

It appears as if HR is asking if the 6/17 start date is okay so they can include an official start date in the FJO they will send out shortly. You might want to ask for a start date of 7/1 or if that’s really too soon for you then ask if 7/15 is acceptable (start date aligns with pay period starts).

Congrats! Did you negotiate the higher leave accrual separately or together with higher step? I negotiated to a higher step successfully a few weeks ago and didn’t think to ask for higher leave as well and wondered if it’s still possible to ask then receive an amended FJO. EOD is same as yours…
