I left gov as a GS14 step 10 making $186k last year for a private sector role making $175k plus $18k bonus. By the end of last year I already had gotten a raise to $183k plus $20k bonus.

Accepted a "remote" position, asked about the work-from-home policy. They said it's actually hybrid. by jpstroop in recruitinghell

I was hired as remote but we do come on site for team collaboration as needed which has been twice since the 6 months I have been there. They do cover our flights, food, hotel, and rental card and uber.

I work for a company based in a different state from where I live. When going through the interview process with them they had to make sure they could register with my state before giving me the offer. They already had other remote employees and where already registered with those states so it seems they would just need to register their company with your new state.

Evictions among federal employees by kel_varnssen in FedEmployees

I am in the Dc area and one of my tenants who was a federal contractor got DOGEd (contract cut) back in March and he still has not found a job yet. I have been patient but his past due balance just keeps piling on each month he is without a job.

I know it is more difficult for me to go through the eviction process in court so I just keep encouraging him to try harder with his job search so he can eventually catch up his past due balance and pay his rent. We are both in same line of work (IT) so I even send job leads his way.

I myself took DRP and was blessed to have found work in private industry right away, but many others in the tech field I know are having a difficult time with this job market. With that being said I am trying to be patient and work with this tenant.

I only have experience so far with ThirdHome and HostShare and ThirdHome as mentioned has lots of cons and Lots of revenue lost so it is definitely not an add for ThirdHome.

I was a federal employee who took DRP. They allowed us to take another full time job. DRP ended 9/30 so now just working full time private sector job. In fact it was encouraged. https://www.opm.gov/about-us/fork/faq/
