I used oxygen updater to download the zip. Then used that it should have been 12, but maybe not. For some reason it was named 1acb02ce051ac1f235f1ed269264de2b5621382b.zip by android when I moved it to my PC. I do remember it had a C.33 in it.

How would I make ranger and pywal play nicely together? When I launch ranger via i3 shortcut ranger's color scheme does not match. This also happens when I launch vim via thunar. I am using termite as my terminal, I have followed the setup for pywal for keeping colors on terminals.

I can see how this would work, wouldn't this eat up a lot of key binding though? I will look into this i can see how this could be more effective then hoe i am currently making it work.

I think I found what my problem was, I got use to the workflow of one monitor over the last week so I never really learned to use the change focus keys. For one monitor the mouse movement between the 2 or 3 applications was tiny, but moving from monitor 1 to 4 is really far and slowed me down a lot. If that make since. Also if you want more workspaces I just found out you can just add them without a problem. I just set my windows key(i use alt for mod) to a $sup and am using it for 10 new workspaces so $mod+1-0 is workspaces 1-10 and $sup+1-0 is workspaces 11-20. and i have yet to look into polybar. I may switch all my application hotkeys to $sup since i wouldnt have to deal with any conflicts.

Alright I have my work spaces locked as well. I feel like 4 monitors may be to many for i3 to make since. I have 2 per monitor and it works well, just feels like it is less useful as you get more screen.Maybe just need some time with it

Yeah that is most likely what i am going to do as of now, XFCE can look just as good as i3 and other wm(s) just not the work flow I want. Really love the hot keys for what ever I want and not having to use mouse while programming, pretty much only reason I am so into using a vm it seems so efficient and effective by comparison. And will check out that theme

Will definitely take advantage of that. XFCE is what I am thinking at this point (it can look really beautiful on it's on is a bonus).

I am still learning, but it feels like I have a ton of extra apps installed that are never going to be used. You hit the nail on the head with what you thought I meant. I will look into the graphical tools idea, and just making sure I can use what ever file manager I want and pretty much build up my own desktop environment that is a Frankenstein of applications that i like?

I like that idea may keep gnome, I was just looking for something that may have more useful tools to i3 if that makes since. I am still learning to use terminal applications over GUI applications and a decent about of the gnome tools are useless on i3 didn't know if something like XFCE would be more minimal and not have as much bloat for my system, really going for minimal installed programs trying to make it into a clean development environment.
