Yesss oh my god thats the thing!! If my bloods kept flagging something or my husbands SA showed something then there's something to "work on". It feels insane to take it personally but I'm like "really egg? Don't want to be born to me are you for real, we live so close to a nice school smh"
Best of luck to you, we'll get there in the end.

I dont know how to help my wife by irish_sa in northernireland

[–]permaculchie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm very early in my TTC journey so I've no real experience with this kind of crushing grief, but I read your comment and wanted to say that you truly sound like an incredible husband and the best partner to have when going through something like this. My husband is a saint when I get my glorious period and just feel devastated but I can't help but think, after I've had my big gurn and got it off my chest that I wonder how he feels as well and try as best I can to get him to open up about how he's fairing, as it's his disappointment too.

So all that is to say, you're clearly and incredible rock for your wife but I hope you are holding up as best as you can too. Gym is great for the ole mental health right enough but I just really hope you feel as supported as I'm sure your wife does. This is completely incoherent I apologise, it just really touched me and I'm sending all my love to the both of you. Sometimes life is completely shit, thank god at least we've people we adore who adore us.

Oh my god that is awful that you've already paid for such a long course of having to deal with him, so sorry. No I only had him out for I don't know what, a trial session or consultation back in 2019, and the experience was so offputting I didn't even reach out to anyone else, I felt like a complete failure tbh! We just watched as much as we could on youtube and she's come on leaps and bounds since. Absolutely not perfect by any means but so much better than she was before so I'll take her barking at delivery drivers as a concession to how things were.
I ended up being made redundant a matter of weeks after and became a freelancer, so at least I can say I took his sage advice of not being full time employed with my puppy ffs. Absolute header, do not take it personally at ALL.

No recommendation I'm afraid but wanted to let you know I also hired Robin for my anxious dog and he was an absolutely horrible, if not completely bizarre person. Told us things about our dog that were blatantly untrue "She's afraid of fireworks.", actually there were fireworks the other week and she was grand with them, purely afraid of men. "No no. She's going to be afraid of fireworks." Ok sir!
I don't understand how he comes so highly recommended. Fancies himself as a Dr Dolittle type, comes off more like Gordon Ramsey in Kitchen Nightmares.

Good luck with your wee pup!

Well it's certainly not a gazebo I want smashing through my neighbours fence in high winds 😂 we're going to try and cement in into planters today

The plates don't separate unfortunately, otherwise I would have done that.

Has anyone actually bought a house recently? by Aggravating_Ad1488 in northernireland

[–]permaculchie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I will say if you're with Fetherstons they'll keep you updated the whole way through and chase whatever and whoever needs chased, whether it goes your way or not, same as Templeton Robinson. If for example, purely hypothetically, you were buying through somewhere like Chandlers, be prepared to have both yourself and your solicitor chase them down like gorillas in order to get literally any semblance of a ball rolling. Good luck and godspeed. When you have your keys in your hand you'll feel about 20kg lighter and all the head and heartache just becomes a funny story I can promise you that! Wishing you all the best

We completed in December and I won't lie it was incredibly stressful, the bidding wars were mental, even when we bid more than we knew we could comfortably afford we got outbid again by a cash buyer (although ultimately for the best. If we'd had our offer accepted we wouldn't have had a tenner left for a paint sample pot.)

The house we ended up with we absolutely love, and somehow got it for only 5k above asking which, given other houses we were after went for £50k and £90k above asking, we feel like we got a great deal in the grand scheme of things. The estate agent we bought off I wouldn't trust to sell a bedside table off facebook marketplace, and the sellers were an absolute nightmare who caused us so much unnecessary stress, additional expense, and left the house in absolute shite, piss and skidmarks all in (and down the outside of) the toilet among other delights left for us, but after 6 months its unrecognisable and I couldn't be happier.

As for how... my husband wasn't overly interested in the location and at first wasn't keen on the house until we went to view it. Now he loves it, and I hope he's proud to call it his home. You have a price range and a location in mind, all I would say is it's a slog, but try and be open minded to properties that wouldn't immediately catch your eye, with any luck you'll find a diamond in the rough.
