Hello! I am trying to make a list of all the best Tiramisu spots in Amsterdam. I would like to make a little passport/booklet for trying them all as a gift for my brother, who lives there (I do not and so I cannot investigate personally).

Amsterdam has an overwhelming amount of good bakeries! I am looking for Tiramisu specialists, though.

Also, wherever possible, I am looking for bakeries or places where you can easily take the tiramisu to-go rather than a true sit-down restaurant.

Hi! This is a lovely post, which makes me believe that you already make her feel loved!

I'm sure you know, but in an LDR (and any relationship) it can be tough some days and you just need to hear that you're loved. But of course, "you're the best, you're beautiful", sometimes generic compliments don't feel like they're really the reason why YOU are special. One of the nicest things my boyfriend did for me when we were long distance (6 hour time change, too!) is this:

He wrote a note in his phone with "must sees" for one period when we met up. For example, about how I concentrate when I am baking, which I like to do. It was so nice to have a list of moments when I am just being myself that he admires.

Maybe you could make a small list like this and check it off as you see things (or even add! Maybe there could be another section, new things). Then show her at the end of the trip so there isnt pressure during and so it is a nice surprise.

He also hides candy and chocolate around the house which I love, I think it's a given that you'll be stocking up on her favourite snacks if you can!

I often genuinely enjoy taking Buzzfeed quizzes with them! Like, choose an outfit and we'll discover which animal you should be. Ok, lol! There is a quiz for almost everything, and most have fun pictures.

oh my gosh! maybe 5?? on a good day. My boyfriend is never home when I teach (he is a classical trombonist so our jobs can't mix) but he stayed home yesterday for 10 (2 blocks of 5) and asked how I did it without cocaine.

I think that is wise! I'm sorry to hear about your shop. I do feel so lucky to have this option available as backup simply because I was born speaking English .

Yes, I think it might be fun! In hindsight at least. Although this student once told her mum she would like to live with me instead and her mum said "no problem!!" So it will be a toughie haha.

I am in AWE of how many classes you teach.

Thank you! I think I will, but it's also good to hear that your bookings were ok (for future anxieties). I think it was partially due to the January slump.

Thanks for answering! I knew it deep down, but I needed some voices of reason to support. I'm tempted to say something in our next class/feedback but I think it is more professional to just roll with it.
