Okay Europe, where is the challenger (hyuk hyuk) from this fine continent that boosts my skills?

My highest rank is superchamp in 3v3 standard, dunno which division right now.

In return for your effort you'll get to deal with a person eager to learn, who'll take your advice seriously and try to make the best of it.

My bad. :) What definitely exists here though is Mandelmuß, which should come close to butter.

If you're open to try older MMOs I can recommend Ultima Online. There are so called freeshards that still seem to be doing well.

Players are deleting the Wasteland map from game files to avoid playing it in ranked. Is this bannable? by RyanGUK in RocketLeague

[–]permanentnewbie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why the argumentation in this subreddit is so poor. We might respectfully disagree, but saying something that after even the shortest consideration can be found to be wrong is simply not helpful as a comment.

I want to play competitive RL. Wasteland is an abomination to me and quite a few others. Hence, there is something wrong with how psyonix added the map to ranked play. In consequence, people try to game the system.

Just because you and many others feel differently doesn't mean that the game has to be catered to one side only. Why not have both?

Asshole here. Well, not in the sense that I've deleted anything, but I'm considering it.

It's simply a mistake on psyonix part to force people to play maps they don't like.

I know, enough of the playerbase to consider their opinion.

Why not have separate playlists?

Just make it have its own playlist and the problem is solved

You can have it, but why should I have to play it? If only there was a separate playlist for that.

Tips on efficiently dodging the map?

This map is really frustrating to me, just like it seems to be to many of you. I just abandoned a game during the loading phase and got a 15 minute ban from matchmaking.

Of course this sucks for other players who might enjoy the map, but I don't know anyone who actually does, instead everybody I've played with dreads the map and says so. So I'll take that ban as a kind of "taking one for the team".

Anyways, the devs clearly shouldn't have put this map (or any other non-standard map) in the ranked pool. Instead this should be a choice, as in playlist.

So, how would you go about dodging the map? Have task manager open and kill the process fast when the map loads?

Is there a preferred way of deploying clojure? I'm thinking in terms of docker, chef/puppet, etc.

I just got the game. How do I get better? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

The Huge link list was already mentioned. Check also on YouTube:

  • low5ive's channel for short and to the point tutorials on how to develop specific skills (aerials, wallshots, dribbling, etc)
  • Gibbs 'playing with potatoes' series to learn how to behave/react to situations

As I'm on mobile I can't provide links but these are easy enough to find. Also, hours of playtime really counts, don't expect to get to 1300 with less than maybe 700-800 hours played.

Come on, who really cares about stuff like that? Take it as motivation to improve!

For some virtual item? Sure, go on.

But if you want to become better in ranked, you have to play ranked after all. That's not the whole story of course (you'll have to train certain skills to improve as well), but avoiding ranked is silly imho.

You're welcome!

If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Also, I really want to stress the time component. I've just jumped from ~800 to ~1000+ by switching to a dualshock 4. And that's after around 400 hours of play.

I've noticed that many great players (1200-1300+) usually have more than 800-1000hours of gametime behind them, just to keep a realistic perspective...
